Live Thread: D.C. Chapter American Sector Inaugural Parade Freep
Freepers Calling In | Thursday, January 20, 2005 | Kristinn

Posted on 01/20/2005 5:14:15 AM PST by kristinn

All systems are go for the D.C. Chapter's American Sector on the Inaugural Parade route.

The weather is cold, but warmer than the past few days. The sun is peaking through the clouds. Snow covers the sidewalks, but Pennsylvania Avenue has been cleared.

The barricades are up everywhere. Small groups of people are walking around checking things out.

I did a recon last night with BufordP after the Freeper dinner. ANSWER has their bleachers set up on John Marshall Plaza at the starting point for the parade at 4th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. They also have a stage and speaker risers right on the sidewalk at Pennsylvania Ave.

For all their wailing about the Presidential Inaugural Committee denying the public access to the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave., ANSWER has taken up most of the sidewalk space themselves with their stage and sound equipment, thereby denying their own people access to the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave. I hope the courts take that hypocriscy into account if their case is appealed.

Snow covered most of the American Sector last night. For those not sure where we'll be today, here's the info:

The northeast corner of 7th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Look for Freepers wearing white Pajama Patrol badge t-shirts with the word 'Marshal' in red letters on the back.

We'll be there from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. We'll have a rally from 10:30 to 11:30. After that, we'll line the parade route in our permitted area on the same block, just a few feet down on the north side of the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.

We'll be calling in updates throughout the day.

I watched them as they chanted about how this racist war has got to go. When the next person started ranting about the gays and their rights, I turned. They are such mental midgits. They are legends in their own minds.

Watching ANSWER and seeing one of the signs calling for us to end our occupation of Iraq, has told me what one of my signs will be for our Freep here on the 19th. "End the Arab occupation of Israel".

The LW moonbats are half heartedly chanting lame rhymes.

Excellent job. It reminds me of the time diotima shouted, "You better put some ice on that," at Bill Clinton on a beautiful Chicago evening.

We'll be Freeping here in Fayetteville. The unwashed marched and rallied a year ago on March 20th and are coming back for a repeat performance. We Freepers will be back out there again too.

I think the permit was supposed to be picked up yesterday. Were you here last year?

If possible, I will drive down and join you.
I need to get closer to that date to see how the schedule is working.

No ... James was only two months old, Anoreth had a horse show, and the boys and Dad were at Cub Scout camp. But I've got it on the calendar now, and won't put anything else there!
