The subject of profiling wasn't being discussed on this thread and wasn't even in my thoughts when I wrote the comment about the Japanese and Pearl Harbor. My point being, that just because all terrorists are muslims, doesn't mean that all muslims are terrorists. just like all Japanese weren't our enemy in WWII, yet the government chose to racially profile every person of Japanese origin and put them behind the walls of a camp. Racial profiling is fine when it comes to providing security on planes, trains, etc. But it shouldn't be part and parcel of the way we live or be a part of a person's right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
People who have a problem with the President's mentioning of the word "Koran" in his speech should then also have a problem with his calling for an end to the hate that divides us in this country, because their attitude is part of the hate that the President was talking about. Like it or not, he is afterall, the President of all the people, no matter their ethnic background, or their religious preferences. And while I also at times have a difficulty separating the terrorists from all Muslims, I try to remind myself that I have known good Muslims during my life, as well as I have known bad Catholics.
Exactly. President Bush does not believe in the KORAN, he is making a statement to Muslims if they beleive there Book they have a responsibility to HONOR GOD in Peace.
If he said The KORAN is just a book of lies from Satan himself (Which we know is) he would open up a A big can of JIHAD!
Pres Bush knows the truth. Muslims will know also on Judgement Day!
The real fight, in the end, will be about:
That edifice of character is built in families, supported by communities with standards, and sustained in our national life by the truths of Sinai.....
Surprised? Betcha you're not hearing that discussed/analyzed....
(just the way the arch-deceiver has planned it out)
