When the Senator speaks impromptu, his comments are laced with "uhs." Does that mean Americans are incoherent? No, it means HE is!

"Denny's in Hyannisport." Will the last Democrat in America please turn off the lights after leaving the restaurant? I can't wait four more years to witness the implosion of a more deserving party.

When Democrats speak candidly to voters about their fundamental values and the direction in which they want to take the nation (McGovern, Mondale and Dukakis) Americans run screaming in the opposite direction. That's because these liberals are socialists ..
If American's wanted that .. they'd move to Canada or Europe

I'm shocked!
Feder left out the part where Teddy continually refers to the victory in Iraq as "Bush's Vietnam" (a war Kennedy also skipped).
Feder must be slipping.

Don Feder has pegged the core of the Dems with Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy. Could we ever have sympathy for dear ol' Teddy? He is just trying to be liked and accepted. He puts the "dis" in dysfunctional.

Heres a guy who drove a car off a bridge and left a woman to die while he dithered for 8 hours before telling the police. Way too generous. He returned to the scene ten hours later and when greeted by the police chief, stated that he meant to report the fatal accident earlier. Maybe he was hoping that the car wouldn't be discovered for weeks or years, by which time his story would be "mary jo and the car went missing the same night" or he hoped that mary jo was thrown from the car and the discovery of her body and the car would not be connected.

I lived in Cambridge (near Harvard Square) back in the mid 1980's. The woman who owned the house I lived in knew the Kennedy family from way back.
This was when Joe Kennedy was running for Congress in Tip O'Neill's recently vacated seat, and everyone was talking about the "Kennedy Mystique." Although she was an old school liberal, she did not have favorable things to say about Ted Kennedy. She said he knew John Kennedy when he as a young man, and that John said his brother Ted was "nothing but trouble." JFK (the real one, not Kerry) also said Ted had zero intelligence compared to his brother Robert, and that his father constantly caught Ted lying to him and stealing family money.
When I think back on this, I realize that Ted was the "runt" of the family---he had the least amount of brains, least amount of morals, and the worst character of any of them.

Edward M. Kennedy, senior senator from my home state of Massachusetts, is the perfect symbol for what the Democratic party has become dogmatic, elitist, arrogant floating in an intellectual ether, hermetically sealed against the intrusion of reality. This might be the best opening line I've read in a decade.
