The trick is to find a woman and MAKE her into a good conservative lady.

Worked for me. It also drives the liberal in-laws nuts, though; an added bonus.

It's a shame and an indictment of manhood that so often, women must be the ones to say "No" out of wedlock. God made men to be the protector, not the rapist. When a man puts the question of fornication or adultery on the woman, he puts her under pressure she was never meant to have to bear--and puts himself under her headship, which was likewise never meant to happen.

I have a hunch that the reason so many fathers permit their daughters to get knocked up and don't have a shotgun wedding--is that they feel guilt and hypocrisy from their own wrongful past. There are indeed 'soul ties' that are formed with sexual knowledge of one another. These can be broken only by the Name and Blood of Christ. That said, an imperfect man can still help his young daughter set boundaries, himself the wiser for his youthful sins.

Well, don't lump us all into that category.

In fact there are some men (like myself) who believe that intimacy and fidelity are important.

I wish my ex had the same beliefs.

Good luck. It seems women are becoming all of the ugly things that men are accused of being now.

But at least my son is with me.

I'm glad she ended on a positive note, she sounded like the bearer of bad tidings in the middle. I, also, am encouraged by the conservative leanings of kids. Who says you have to be like me and have sense painfully brought to you by the hard lessons of life. Hurray for kids that are smart enough to learn from the mistakes of others and have the conviction to stand, sometimes against their peers, for what they know is right.
NOW is dieing and good riddance! The people(not just women) that encouraged them were misguided and hurt our way of life so much by making women think that they have to compete with men rather than compliment them. There have always been women who have been in the work force and have accomplished much, lately even getting into coveted, powerful positions. Good for them! The only real affinity I've ever had with the women's movement, however, has really not been realized. That being, if we both work equally hard at the same job, we should be equally paid. What price have women paid for an equality that never, thus far, came to fruition?
1)Losing their identity as the warmth and comfort of our homes and families, being the primary virtue of their sex and oftentimes the saving grace of our male existence.
2)Having to work equally as hard as their spouse but still being expected to carry the lion's share of domestic "duties".
3)Being pressured by other women to despise the manliness that they desire in their partners.
4)Many divorces that can be attributed to confusion about gender roles and struggle for control.
5)Diminished maternal bonding because Mom HAS to work since single income families just can't make it financially.
There are many others but these just came off the top of my
(male chauvinist?)head. I love the strength and conviction of the women in my life. More than once, when I was down, a woman gave me the strength that I needed to carry on. Not once has she ever asked for it back. That's real dignity!
Thank God for conservative women.

"In becoming a one-issue organization, the National Organization for Women has made itself irrelevant and unattractive to the next generation."

Dr. Crouse nails it. I am thankful for the ugliness and stupidity of the N.O.W. - it has gone a long way to repel many.

Perhaps men are not as simple as they are made out to be. However strong the sex drive is, there is even deeper — somewhere down in the limbic system — the concern that the children they are supporting are in fact their own. So no matter how much a man might enjoy a nice roll in the hay, no man wants to marry a slut.

The woman who will go to bed on the first date has done it fifty times before, and will do it fifty times again. Thanks for the nice night, but she's off the list.

Bump.

Interesting. The fory year olds get angry at my advice to save sex for marriage.

The teens and early twenties thank me.

The one event of the last decade that drove a stake through the heart of feminism and it liberal linkages was the Lewinsky affair.

Young women suddenly began to realize that the side that purported to support them so much was really a sleazy gang of exploiters.

President Bush cut funding. He cut funding for "abortions" in UN activities, for example. He's a good man. :) But! Without grants and funding, feminists have little to nothing to go on.

Thanks for the ping! I wonder whether she's correct in observing the aggregate trend ... I don't spend much time with girls in the 16-20 age group.

However, my observation from a distance is that, although they may be nice young ladies, not sleeping around, they need to Put Some Clothes On!

Kim Gandy, president of the National Organization for Women, has said that the next four years under a Bush administration are going to be "tough" for the feminists

No kidding. Raping campaign workers, using state troopers to coordinate sexual trysts, treating virtually all women - except his wife - as sexual objects, using his position to obtain sexual favors from interns...

Hmmm, I'm thinking Ms. Gandy is confusing her administrations.

I hate to say this but Tom Lykis is right about 90% of the women out there (or at least the one's I meet). A bunch of suckubusses who expect you to be their b-tch and then take half your money.
