It worked for Hitler - first the incompetent Weimar Republic, and then Adolf.

Well, they worked, didn't they. (kidding). Seriously, ensure the product is properly labeled, that's all you need to do.

This is why I grimace each time I hear Bush talking about spreading democracy. The history of democracy, is a one way ticket to socialism.
Now a Republic, with democracy as a check and balance, like America was designed that is something else. And even democracy at the local level is tolerable.. as people can 'vote with their feet'.

" you need to remember how strongly the GOP supports what it calls "democracy" & continues, w/o question, to call America a democracy."
This is one of the things that bothers me a lot about the GOP. And makes me question what their real goals are. Its painfully obvious democracy around the world leads to socialism.

Democracy is mob rule. Democracy-Two wolves and a sheep deciding "what's for dinner".

Absolutely...the GOP has little respect for our Constitution--@ least the GOP elites do. Most ordinary members of the GOP, the average Joes, have been significantly dumbed-down about constitutional principles & republican government. This has been going on for decades, & I worry that there will be no turning back. The GOP is nothing but a big-government party that appears do differ from the Dims @ 1st glance, but once you dig beneath the surface, their goals are the same: TOTAL government in every aspect of American life.
