John Kerry's 2005 Mideast "Bash Bush Tour"

Like a bad penny John "Crushed" Kerry just keeps turning up. Luckily for all of us it's not going to be at next week's inaugural. Still, the guy just keeps on providing us with material, which surely helps us, as we're behind about...well, let's just say we're pretty far behind on the completed transition to anklebitingpundits.com. We're fairly certain that this trip is done to keep his name and face out there for 2008, but if that's the case, he sure hasn't learned anything other than how to read the message boards of loony left wing websites.

What we're learning from his overseas tour is that the loser really hasn't changed much from his early 70's hippie protestor days when it comes to bashing American policies and the President in a time of war. His latest "magical mystery tour" has taken him to the Iraq, other areas of the Middle East, and finally, of course, France. And the only imprint he leaves on each stop is his slamming of the President's policies. Somebody must not have told this dolt that Babs Boxer and the rest of the half-wits in Congress couldn't stop the certification of the Electoral College, because his politics have definitely stopped at the water's edge despite the fact that he's now the official loser of the 2004 election.

We're going to relive the highlights of this globetrotter to the parts of the world where many people actually wish he had won the election - as they know it would have meant a weaker America more subservient to the "international community". It's at times like this that we really want to pat ourselves on the back for doing our small part in keeping this clown out of the White House. Listen to his bloviating in foreign capitals and you'll realize he's not fit to lick George Bush's boots. Below we examine his itinerary and actions in each place he visited. Prepare to have your blood boil.

Jan. 4, 2005 - Amman, Jordan Kerry arrived here to meet with senior Jordanian officials and discussed "efforts being exerted to move the peace process forward and achieve peace and security in Iraq". What we find so interesting is that Kerry apparently spent more time discussing how to bring "peace and security to Iraq" with King Hussein than he did with the American people. Kerry had no plan to bring peace to Iraq, citing only that he would "rejoin the community of nations" which we're pretty sure means ask France and Germany for help. When he did have the chance to vote to accomplish this goal, he did vote for peace and security in Iraq , until he voted against it.

July 6, 2005 - Baghdad, Iraq It was on this stop that Kerry couldn't hold back. Instead of simply thanking the troops he couldn't stop himself from bashing the President and his policies, claiming the US made "horrendous judgments" and "unbelievable blunders". But he wasn't content, so he went over the line even more, saying:

"What is sad about what's happening here now is that so much of it is a process of catching up from the enormous miscalculations and wrong judgments made in the beginning. And the job has been made enormously harder"

There was a time when politics stopped at the water's edge, even during a Presidential campaign. But we don't think there's ever been an instance where a defeated Presidential candidate has lashed out at the winner, while overseas, before the inauguration. And he left this parting shot, which tells you all you need to know about the hubris of this incredibly arrogant, ill-mannered fool:

"Now it's a different time and different set of judgments that have to be made. I'm here to make judgments about what moves are available to us."

Um, excuse us Senator but I don't think President Bush or any of us give a damn about your judgments. It's a big part of the reason you're not preparing your inaugural speech right now instead of so pathetically trying to stay in the spotlight. One also wonders how his meeting with Prime Minister Allawi went, given that Kerry's campaign called him a "puppet" while he was in the US for the first time.

January 8, 2005 - Damascus, Syria Kerry met with Syrian dictator and provider of haven for terrorists Bashir "Boy" Assad. Kerry and Assad discussed ways to stop militants from going into Iraq, and Kerry also claimed that "there were areas of mutual interest" between the countries and hoped to improve relations between the US and Syria.

Funny, especially because in August, 2004, he wrote that "Syria sponsors terrorist operations" We must have missed something in the last 5 months that changed his opinion from August. Oh, wait, it's John Kerry and consistency means nothing. 5 months might as well be 5 decades. Pardon us for raining on this parade, but Boy Assad is a terrorist (as Kerry rightly stated in August), by virtue of his acceptance of them in his country, and as such should be summarily toppled. Assad has done nothing to stop the flow of foreign dead enders from using Syria as a jumping off point to go kill our soldiers. So it would seem that by Kerry's own words, he was discussing "areas of mutual interest" with a head of a terrorist state. Nice.

Jan. 10, 2005 - Ramallah, West Bank Kerry stopped here in the last home of Hell's recent arrival, Yassir Arafat. While there he lauded the Palestinian elections an said with reference to peace - "Words are easy. Actions are harder". He also called on the "international community" (there's that phrase again) to help them secure peace with Israel. Funny how he praised the Palestinian elections yet whined about those in Ohio. Surely he thinks Mahmood Abbas runs a cleaner election than Ken Blackwell. But for Kerry or anyone (including President Bush) to think that this election will mean peace is pure fantasy. Let's face it, the majority of Palestinians want Israel off the map permanently. Even if Abbas does wish to have peace he can't control the terrorists in his own midst (witness today's truck bomb courtesy of the "Al-Aqsa Martyr's Brigade"), which basically means that Israel will never be truly secure. Our suggestion - get the wall built as quickly as possible and kill anybody who sneaks through to do you harm.

January 12, 2005 - Cairo, Egypt Unable to act like a sphinx and just keep his mouth shut, Kerry again went off about just how bad American foreign policy is while in a country whose government tolerates perhaps the most virulent and hateful anti-American and anti-Semitic press in the Arab world, which is no small feat. Kerry felt the need to express what we believe to be his true feelings about America, to wit, that it is our fault the world hates us. As the Washington Times and other papers reported:

Former U.S. presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., Wednesday said in Egypt that Arab countries are frustrated by U.S. policies in Iraq.

Speaking after talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Kerry said he noticed during his Middle East tour most countries were unhappy with the poor U.S. efforts to end the violence that has been raging for 21 months in Iraq.

"All countries in the region have great interest in ending the violence in Iraq and they actually feel frustrated because they don't see necessary steps taken to achieve security and stability," he said.

Kerry also accused the Bush administration of negligence in planning the post-Saddam Hussein phase, which allowed the rise of terrorism in Iraq.

Well pardon us John, but we seem to recall that those same countries that are so "frustrated" didn't want us to go in there in the first place, so they're likely happy about the insurgency. Second, if they are so "frustrated" about the violence going on tell them to shi*t or get off the pot and do something about it and help us out. Finally, we find it amusing that these Arab countries, none of which are democracies, didn't voice their frustration over Saddam's killing hundreds of thousands of their Muslim brothers, and many of their own countries are not exactly peaceful paradises. So we'll tell you the same thing we're telling them - "Shut the Hell Up."

Kerry's itinerary calls for him to visit Pakistan tomorrow. We can only hold our breath to hear what idiocy comes out of his mouth there. Finally, the trip ends with a visit to ideological soul mate, French President Jacques Chirac, the person who, other than maybe Te-RAY-za, wanted Kerry to win the most. We're sure these 2 will have a lot in common to discuss - their shared policies of appeasement, their hatred of Bush, allegiance to the UN, mistresses, dining at Wendy's. Sorry, we were joking about the last one.

The bottom line here is that we did our country a major favor in ensuring this guy didn't come close to sniffing the White House. His actions on this trip just prove him to be a shallow lefty who would not have left this country, or the world, as safe as the man who rightfully occupies the Oval Office today.

Kerry's terrified of Hill, so this trip is a preemptive strike. She'll have to top it.

This is an excellent summary of Kerry's Bash Bush World Tour. Good points you have made on his comments, too.

Once again, I thank the Lord that we elected President Bush, instead of this odious, American-hating, effete poseur.

Iraq and feel too little is being done to end violence there, U.S. Senator John Kerry

Never has been!
