A scheduled appearance by vulgar rock-rapper Kid Rock at a Bush inauguration concert hosted by Bush daughters Jenna and Barbara has shocked conservative supporters.
The rappers lyrics often focus on the recreational nature of sex and send a message of female sexual exploitation. In 2000 he appeared in a porn film with well-known porn stars, and he was named the Sluttiest Male Celebrity by MTV.
According to Donald E. Wildmon, chairman of the American Family Association, the White House has sent a shocking statement to the millions of families who supported his re-election.
"Kid Rock is an inexcusable choice, Wildmon said. "His music lyrics serve to teach our young men to disrespect women in a most vile, self serving manner. There's no compassionate conservatism in that philosophy.
"Obviously, someone on the Presidential Inauguration Committee has made an extremely poor judgment call. The Committee should cancel this invitation immediately, Wildmon said.
Kid rock was chosen to appear because he was a supporter of President Bush's re-election campaign.
< Watch this Video of Lonely Road of Faith and then say he shouldn't be there:

Thanks for the link! I had never (that I'm aware of) heard anything KR had ever done. I enjoyed the video and it took me back about 35 years or so. Back to the days when I loved the Stones and other bands. :)
Don't let it bother you too much, he's purposely trying to make you mad. FR, great as it is, is overrun with infiltrators, intent on filing us into groups and dividing the groups. This has long been this clowns modus operandi. He is most happy when he isolates someone and the 'stupid ones' come out of the woodwork to pile on.
Its all he has since he clearly cant win the debate...those who can do and those who cant make fun of those who can...of course he doesnt like how Kid talks to women but his way is ok....i guess hypocrite suits him as well as childish
Geeesh, I should've put (SARCASM). It's not paranoia, trying to point out to you that your language about those who disagree is similiar to those who dismiss anyone who has an opposing viewpoint. This is just like the PC at DU. A Republican version, I guess?
Here's my point - I would be just as vehement in my comments if someone on here was saying, "How dare they invite Rev. Jones to the Inaug. Ball, he's said stuff I don't agree with" as I am with the Kid Rock issue. KR has lent support to the Bush re-election effort, has entertained the troops; who knows how many of his fans voted Bush/Cheney because of him.
Just because he doesn't fit into the "mold" that some here would like to see him in doesn't make him unacceptable. Besides, hanging out with Republicans at the function could perhaps rub off on him in a positive way (if you're one of those who believes he needs it). Or, just perhaps, the acceptance of KR into the mainstream Republican crowd might encourage other youth icons, who may be hiding their true political leanings, to come forward.
Oh, boy. Once again, Donald Wildmon doesn't get it.
This is Gen-X conservatism, folks. We're the hard-nosed crowd who are sick of mamby-pamby liberals and their BS "nuanced" view of the world.
We're the ones who resisted our indoctrination by "enlightened liberals" in the schools during the 70's and 80's, and are now calling them out on it. We are no "Silent Majority" - we're the ones who get off our butts and go toe-to-toe against those who want America to become a limp-wristed vassal state of a global UN empire.
Our generation is the one kicking ass in the Middle East, while our drug-addled hippy elders try to hold us back from doing what has to be done to secure the future for OUR children.
And if the so-called "progressives" get what they seem to be after (a second civil war), WE are the ones who will be fighting to keep and expand our liberties.
We care more about preserving our God-given liberties than we do about preserving a Victorian ideal that never really existed in the first place. We love our 1st Amendment rights, and will exercise our 2nd Amendment rights to keep them.
We work hard, we play hard. As long as no one gets hurt and no property gets violated, we're fine with it.
So now, not only do we have the leftists cursing us, we now have self-righteous jerks like Wildmon telling us how rotten and depraved we are. (His organization must be running low on funds and needs to raise a stink to get Granny to send in part of her Social Security check to help stamp out sinnin' an' cussin'.)
Well, the Reverend Donald Wildmon and his pack of busybody, wanna-be censors can try to interfere, but they'd better be ready for a fight with the gloves off.
Oh, and as far as Kid Rock goes, I love the guy. Ever seen his live show? I didn't think so. The boy's got more American flags on and behind his stage than Ted Nugent, and he performs everything from hardcore rap, to rock and metal, and even good old tears-in-my-beer country.
We definitely don't want someone who wrote such a song to show up at the Inaug. Ball ;):
"Up and down that lonely road of faith
I have been there
Unprepared for the storms and the tides that rise
I've realized one thing, how much I love you
And it hurts to see, see you cryin'
I believe we can make it through the winds of change
God is great indeed
If you believe, in the everlife
Yeah we gotta
Make some sense of the piece that's not defined
And if you just hold on, I wont let ya fall
We can make it through the storms and the winds of change
Though I walk through the valley of darkness
I am not afraid
Cause I know I'm not alone
And if the wind blows east, would you follow me
And if the wind blows north, would ya stay your course
And if the wind blows west, would ya second guess
And if it blows to the south, would you count me out
And if the sun don't shine, would you still be mine
And if the sky turns grey, would you walk away
Would you say I do, if I say I'll be
And walk this road through life with me
You know I love youuuuuu
On this lonely road of faith
On this lonely road of faith"
KID ROCK - Lonely Road of Faith
Well said! Bravo! Your generation is going to be hugely challenged, but y'all rock, you'll do it, just like the supposed 'greatest' generation did.
I guess the slut of our party is Kid Rock. Big surprise there.
The slut of the Democrat party is Bill Clinton. Imagine that.
You rock! Go get'em and more power to you! I'm probably old enough to be your Mom and I have no problem with anything you said in your post! I'd be proud to call you Son!
I apparently underestimated you.
I don't care for his music, but if he's a patriot and he keeps it clean, why not?
PLEASE, just stop. PLEASE.
You can take your offended rebuttal and put it elsewhere.
LOL Yeah. I remember that. And Mighty Mouse was only sniffing flowers.
If this was the 1940's, Wildmon would be mounting a campaign to stop Popeye from eating spinach. Because it looks like he partakes of the Demon Weed and Assassin of Youth - MARIHUANA, and then commits vicious, felony assault against Bluto.
Yes, I first heard him on CMTV with Hank Jr. and some of the other outlaw types.
I recognize that he isn't all he should be but I kind of like him. He's so homely he's cute and I have a soft spot for anyone who supports the troops and who has sense enough to support our president.
I wouldn't go one of his concerts but Kid is OK in my book.
From one Gen X-er to another....
YOU ROCK, man!!!
Who has that "Holier-Than-Thou" ping list?
If ever there was a thread that needed it, it's this one.
I thought YOU had it, Howlin! LOL
