Well this isn't really directed to MeekOneGOP or any particular poster on this thread. My question is kind of general and goes like this.
What has happened to Freep where a hilarious parody like this gets the guy or gal who placed bumped off the site?
Now maybe he or she didn't get bounced but it seems kinda odd that all of a sudden posts from that source simply cease.
I totally disagree with where scarfo was coming from but...really..........this reeks of high school tactics....imho.......
I remember when Freep was more free wheeling, less doctrinaire and certainly less pedantic and dour.
Now on a small bbs I might see where someone who would generate this kind of response might be throttled, no reason to totally take over a board with one thread.
Freep certainly isnt small in size, but it is proving, again imho, itself small in mind.
I find it impossible to believe that Jim had anything to do with this, I think he's made of better stuff than that.

A few post the standard hitler pictures, but my point is it is predictable across the conservative base. Today in 2005 about 20% fed up. In 2006 with another four million illegals (border figure numbers) comeing in for a free dinner, I imagine the same thread will be about 25% support. By election day 2008 you can bet your taco a good 5-10% of us will bite the bullet and pull the Hillary lever. Its really not the same as posting porno, or calling people profane names or just being an ass wipe and disagreeable.
I just remember back to a time when this place was not so full of itself or whatever that the least departure from orthodoxy got one banned, that seems more like DU than what Freep used to be.

They are elevating the immigration issue above the character issue. They think they can actually trust her to do something right without some angle to benefit her. Good grief.
I'm not much for banning at the drop of a hat either. But JimRob began this forum exhists to expose corruption, not to glorify the corrupt. We have extensive documentation of her corruption. If Scarfo had the sense to post a question: "Should We Endorse Hillary?", he would have been enlightened. A person might even get away with glorifying Ralph Nader.
I personally posted many praises of Ross Perot.
[And Perot later endorsed Bush when Buchanan was running. I was vindicated.]
