1) Anyone believing natural disasters are specific punishments for given localities is an idiot.

I don't generally insert myself into other folk's business, but I would submit anyone completely discounting such a possibility has not read all the literature on the subject.

2) Anyone actively praying for that sort of thing is deranged.

Beats sending young men into battle, eh?

REFRESHING it is to read someone well read on the topic.

THANKS TONS.

ACTUALLY, I'm very strongly convinced; fiercely convinced that we shall see FAR MORE SUCH IN OUR LIFETIME than in all the rest of the Biblical eras combined.

Buckle seatbelts, indeed.

Thanks much.

Actually, you've reminded me. There ARE STATISTICS on such things. I don't recall sufficient keywords to look the research up. Are you in touch with it enough to find it and post some here?

Certainly when church attendance goes up in an area of the USA for the last 200 years, then murders, rapes, robberies, alcoholism goes down--quite significantly.

But there's also some statistics regarding natural disasters, as I recall--related to measured apparant Godliness in a location.
