Blacks should be outraged by attempts to stamp out Christianity from Christmas celebrations while accepting Kwanzaa as mainstream, says a black minister.

Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, founder and president of BOND, Brotherhood Organization of A New Destiny, and author of WND Books' "Scam," notes that while public school administrators and city officials attempt to ban nativity scenes, Christmas carols, candy canes and even Christmas trees from public places, Kwanzaa has been accepted as mainstream.
While commonly viewed as an "African" holiday, observed from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, Kwanzaa actually was created in the U.S. in 1966 by Dr. Maulana "Ron" Karenga, the head of a violent black-power group, United Slaves Organization, which was a rival to the Black Panthers.
In the 1970s, Karenga served four years in prison for conspiracy and assault in the torture of two female followers. Karenga was convicted of whipping them with electrical cords and beating them with a karate baton after stripping them naked. He placed in the mouth of one of the victims a hot soldering iron, also scarring her face with the device. He put one of her big toes in a vise, and detergent and running water in both of their mouths.
In a 1978 interview quoted in the Washington Post, Karenga said, "People think it's African, but it's not. I came up with Kwanzaa because black people in this country wouldn't celebrate it if they knew it was American. Also, I put it around Christmas because I knew that's when a lot of bloods (blacks) would be partying."
Peterson points out Kwanzaa is taught in public schools, recognized by corporations and was saluted in a proclamation by President Bush in 2002.
"If black Christians don't stand up for Christmas and reject Kwanzaa, they are allowing evil to have its way," Peterson said. "They will regret using a fake holiday to stamp out the true meaning of Christmas."

We have "Jump Start" in our local newspaper, a comic strip about black families. Last year, one the characters, a little girl, was asked, why she doesn't prepare for Kwanzaa. She replied, "We are Christians, we celebrate Christmas, not Kwanzaa"... Loved it !!!

Read The Gifts of Kwanzaa by Synthia Saint James out loud to the class. As you read, you may want to stop and discuss each of the seven principles in the context of how they play a part in the students' own personal lives. (For example, in talking about Nia, you could ask, "What are some goals you have?") Discuss the who, why, what, where, and how of Kwanzaa as they are covered in the book. (Make sure that students understand that Kwanzaa is not celebrated in Africa, but draws from its heritage.)
He did more than that but I won't write it here. Anyway no one should follow this celebration. Blacks think for some reason that Kwanzaa is an African tradition and it hasn't got a ******* thing to do with Africa.
Blacks need to get a grip. We are here now. Live in the here and now because if you try to recreate it, you have no real idea what the *** your ancestors did. How could you. You only know what happened on the plantation and going forward from that. Just accept that and celebrate it. Being in slavery in the past is nothing to be ashamed of.
Ron McKinley Everett (aka. Maulana Karenga) / US Links
The founder of Kwanzaa, Ron Everett, was the leader of a violent racist gang called US. His gang was a rival to and more violent than the Black Panthers. In fact, in retalation for Everett being heckled by Black Panther gangmembers at a student meeting on the UCLA campus, members of Everett's gang shot several and killed two members of the Black Panthers in the Student Union building afterward. Everett was a violent person. Five years after inventing Kwanzaa he was sent to prison for torturing two teenaged black girls (members of the commune he ruled) by stripping them naked, tying them with electrical cord, tightening their toes in a vice, burning them with a soldering iron, and forcing them to eat caustic chemicals.

In fact, the Official Kwanzaa Website admits the linkage of Kwanzaa to the violent US gang by posting the US Logo 
right on their Kwanzaa: Roots and Branches page along with the damning admission:

It is, therefore, an expression of recovery and reconstruction of African culture which was being conducted in the general context of the Black Liberation Movement of the '60's and in the specific context of The Organization Us, the founding organization of Kwanzaa and the authoritative keeper of its tradition.The two members of the US gang who murdered the two Panthers after they dissed Karenga at a Black Studies meeting on the UCLA campus were Larry and George Stiner. Both were convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison. They escaped in 1974. Larry turned himself in to the FBI in 1994, but George Stiner is still at large. He is on California's 10 Most Wanted list which can be found here. There is also an International Crime Alert on this fugitive who is considered armed and extremely dangerous here.
Anti-Christian? Anti-Christmas?
Karenga himself says that Kwanzaa is an "oppositional alternative" to Christianity - which he calls "spookism" and "eurocentric". He claims the Bible is myth and rejects Jesus Christ.
"...Kwanzaa is not an imitation, but an alternative, in fact, and oppositional alternative to the spookism, mysticism and non-earth based practices which plague us as a people . . . "

Karenga defines "spookism" as "belief in spooks who threaten us if we don't worship them and demand we turn over our destiny and daily lives..." p 27. Kawaida Theory
. Of Christianity and Judaism and their beliefs, Karenga says this about such "myths":
"...it is a simplistic and often erroneous answer to existential ignorance fear, powerlessness and alienation. An example is the Hebrew myth of the six-day creation and the tower of Babel, or Christian myths of resurrection, heaven and hell;"

"...it often denies and diminishes human worth, capacity, potential and achievement. In Christian and Jewish mythology, humans are born in sin, cursed with mythical ancestors who've sinned and brought the wrath of an angry God on every generation's head. ... Spookism, on the other hand, is intense emotional commitment to non-human-centered principles and practices which place humans at the mercy of invisible and omnipotent forces and thus, deny the right and capacity of humans to shape reality and their future according to their own needs and desires."

Kawaida, another invention of Ron Everett (aka. Maulana Karenga) is the underlying philosphy to Kwanzaa. Karenga describes Kawaida as "a synthesis of nationalism, pan-Africanism, and socialist thought."
The Official Kwanzaa Website - run by Ron Everett (aka. Maulana Karenga) says this about Kawaida and its relationship to Kwanzaa:
THERE IS NO WAY TO UNDERSTAND and appreciate the meaning and message of Kwanzaa without understanding and appreciating its profound and pervasive concern with values. In fact. Kwanzaa's reason for existence, its length of seven days, its core focus and its foundation are all rooted in its concern with values. Kwanzaa inherits this value concern and focus from Kawaida, the African philosophical framework in which it was created. Kawaida philosophy is a communitarian African philosophy which is an ongoing synthesis of the best of African thought and practice in constant exchange with the world.Here are a few quotes from Karenga demonstrating Kawaida's underlying socialism/marxism:

Hope y'all don't flame me too hard, but you have to wonder if there is a play on words here...LOL.
Kwanza, christmas, Hannukah, you can have them all. For the rest of us it's festivus. Feats of strength and pinning the host to the floor. Now that's a holiday.
Silliness? There is nothing silly about Festivus. You wanna piece of me?
Kwanzaa is an insult to the intelligence, regardless of race. It is itself an anti-Christian construct devised by a psychotic.
