I perfectly well understand. My girls are never out in the front yard unless Dad or I am with them. They are only in the backyard alone when I can watch them (i.e. doing laundry on our lowest level, preparing dinner to grill).
My husband thinks I'm nuts, but I have one chance with my kids. I told him that if he wants them to run the streets he better be prepared to go with them or buy a German Shepard to go in his stead.
I have no problem with driving them to see friends or to the Y for exercise.

33 registered sex offenders in my zip code, 19 sex offenders where my father lives. And, as an added bonus, a child molester in the apartment complex where I live.

The guy in my apartment complex has several offenses against children including offenses against children under the age of 14.

By the way, I attempted to print out a picture of the child molester but found that I couldn't do it. Does anyone know a way to download and print the info, or is that not allowed.
