(2) Women who augment themselves usually do it because they are deeply insecure about how they look - and this insecurity could be part of a deeper problem.

We do need to remember the few women who have this surgery for legitimate reasons.

Thank you for speaking up. I was hesitant to toss out my 2 cents worth on this one for a while.

My doctor told me I was borderline birth defect. This surgery was one of the kindest things I've done for myself. I just wanted to look like a normal woman. Not everyone who makes the choice of getting implants wants to look like an attention seeking bimbo.
