The FR 2004 Eagle Awards Committee has been established and held it's first meeting. An outline and project timeline has been set to meet the Jan 20 Ball deadline so award recipients who are in attendance can be recognized at that time.
Nominations will begin being accepted around Dec 20th with voting to occur beginning around Jan 2. Final winners shall be confirmed and posted by Jan 8th. Awards will be produced and forwarded to the Ball presenter by Jan 13th. The presenter will be a member of the FRN, who is sponsoring these awards.

Thanks for the post Bob.
Here's a bump to the Free Republic Network's Eagle Award process, that will facilitate Freeper nominations and winner selections for a number of categories in 2004.
BobJ has been the driving force behind the Eagle Award process since it's inception years ago. It was a great idea. Bob, along with committees he has put together over the years have facilitated Freepers meeting out honored recognition to a number of great and deserving individuals.
The Eagle Award process is our chance to recognize people who conducted themselves in an exemplary manor during award years.
There are a few new categories this year. All categories will have their criteria spelled out so that Freepers can nominate qualified candidates.
The exact process is being reviewed and tweaked as we speak. Details will be revealed soon.
Put your thinking caps on Freepers. The nomination and selection process will be here in a few weeks.
Be sure to nominate the individual you think is deserving for each category.
