Not sure why you said they are Arabs--there are almost no Arabs in Kosovo--used to be a few missionaries, but they're mostly gone due to lack of success. And those are the guys you can be sure were NOT there.
Religion in the Balkans--even among the Serbs--is to a large degree more an expression of heritage and culture than it is a practiced faith. It is also normal among the Albanians to attend each other's (Sunni, Orthodox, Bektashi, and Catholic) major religious events just as it is normal for them to hardly ever attend the normal Friday & Sunday services for any of those religions.
If you were in the Balkans then you learned nothing. You never line up to support Islamic imperialism. Never ever. This is dumb! I never support the Muslim side in these disputes. Anyways you should stop whining since Muzzies with their explosive birthrates, gained new European lebensraum in Kosovo and use it as base for projecting their criminal enterprises (drugs etc) into Europe. You should be smiling. More turf for the Allah hypnotized masses.
But of course. This must be how you can account for all the dynamited Serb Orthodox churches in Kosovo. The Muslims were simply practicing their faith of Mohammed the dynamiter.
However, I am not in favor of being taken in, as you apparently have been, by Serb nationalist propagandists who throw the Islamist label at their historic Albanian enemy in the hopes of gaining our support.
"BIN LADEN RUNS TERRORIST NETWORK, REPORT SAYS
November 30, 1998, LONDON - The man accused of orchestrating the U.S. Embassy bombings in Africa operates a terrorist network out of Albania, The Sunday Times reported.
"The newspaper quoted Fatos Klosi, the head of the Albanian intelligence service, as saying a network run by Saudi exile Osama Bin Laden sent units to fight in the Serbian province of Kosovo.
"Bin Laden is believed to have established an Albanian operation in 1994 after telling the government he headed a wealthy Saudi humanitarian agency wanting to help Albania, the newspaper reported.
"Klosi said he believed terrorists had already infiltrated other parts of Europe from bases in Albania. Apparent confirmation of Bin Laden's activities came earlier this month during the murder trial of Claude Kader, 27, a French national who said he was a member of Bin Laden's Albanian network, the newspaper said.
Mine isn't. Which is a great advantage when it comes to taking an objective view of Balkans events.
Christopher Hitchens, who is a Middle East scholar, was the first (and one of the very few) that I saw to note the 911 date in 2001 as the anniversary of the Fall of Vienna.
Perhaps we should be collecting names of ALL Muslims in this country and profiling them too. Somehow or other we have to get past the idea Islam is merely a benign religion instead of a cult whose very scriptures promote conversion by the sword. They are a threat which seamlessly spans theology, culture, government and law into a worldwide movement for domination over all others who do not share their twisted belief system.
We outlawed Communists for good reasons. We should outlaw Muslims for the same reasons.
Objective, or historically and culturally uninformed?
"Ridge has made a similar mistake by not including into the new terrorist profile the islamic Albanians, or more precisely, their organized political-criminal hybrid "
Yeah, well, he's made the same mistake with the organized political-criminal hybrid in Mexico, Central America as well.
I heard last night that Asa Hutchinson may be tapped for head of Homeland Security.
"The US moved against bin Laden following the bombing of its embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998. That same summer, CIA and Shik [Albanian Security Agents] units arrested several men who were wanted by Egypt for plotting terrorist acts. The men were extradited to Egypt, tried and executed.
The spotlight fell on bin Laden in Albania with the arrest in 1998 of a French passport holder, Claude Kader, who was believed to be of Middle Eastern origin. He confessed to being a member of one of bin Ladens groups and told investigators he had been sent to give weapons to the guerrillas of the Kosovo Liberation Army, then beginning their war against the Serbs.
The KLA had promised US officials it would not co-operate with fundamentalists. Mr Kader said the KLA had turned him down and that he had returned to Albania, still with his weapons."
Nice try from someone who calls Albanians "mohamedans". Do a lttle research & quit relying on campfire lore.
What do you think of this (Why Americans hate foreign policy) written by P.J. O'Rourke, who also spent time in the Balkans?
In the fall of 1996, I travelled to Bosnia to visit a friend whom I'll call Major Tom. Major Tom was in Banja Luka serving with the Nato-led international peacekeeping force, Ifor. From 1992 to 1995, Bosnian Serbs had fought Bosnian Croats and Bosnian Muslims in an attempt to split Bosnia into two hostile territories.
In 1995, the US-brokered Dayton Agreement ended the war by splitting Bosnia into two hostile territories. The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was run by Croats and Muslims. The Republika Srpska was run by Serbs.
IFOR's job was to "implement and monitor the Dayton Agreement." Major Tom's job was to sit in an office where Croat and Muslim residents of Republika Srpska went to report Dayton Agreement violations.
"They come to me," said Major Tom, "and they say, 'The Serbs stole my car.' And I say, 'I'm writing that in my report.' They say, 'The Serbs burnt my house.' And I say, 'I'm writing that in my report.' They say, 'The Serbs raped my daughter.' And I say, 'I'm writing that in my report."'
"Then what happens?" I said.
"I put my report in a filing cabinet."
Major Tom had fought in the Gulf war. He'd been deployed to Haiti during the American reinstatement of President Aristide (which preceded the recent American un-reinstatement). He was on his second tour of duty in Bosnia and would go on to fight in the Iraq war.
That night, we got drunk.
"Please, no nation-building," said Major Tom. "We're the Army. We kill people and break things. They didn't teach nation-building in infantry school."
Or in journalism school, either. (snip)

Of course they are Islamist and Jihadist. You know how I can tell when a Jihad is going on? When Serb Orthodox churches are blown up by these rabid dogs. How many? 50 by now? Thanks to the world's do gooders Muslims have acquired more turf. They count it as victory for Islam even if you remain blind to it...... after all your time spent there in the Balkans. Pity.
in the hopes of gaining our support.
Impressive credentials you have. But little old me, sitting in America, figured out something that went right past you. One never supports Muslim irredentism. Unless you are a Muslim. And make no mistake, the Muslim Ummah counts Kosovo as a major gain for Dar Al Islam.
You should have picked the Serbs despite their defects. Instead you are bet and continue to bet on Muslims from Albania. Very stupid idea. Are you American or European?
Excellent article especially Albanian terrorism and organized crime.
I know these people -- Albanians -- as I have been in contact with them through the years through sports and day-to-day activities. They are, first and foremost muslims, and American second.
"Albanian Christian churches & their faithful are growing."
Albanian and Kosovar Christian churches have been burned to the ground by KLA terrorists and their cohorts for years.
We will never forget!!!!
The radical wahabbi-type mullahs have moved into many formerly calm areas like this, and go into prisons, and after the young and vulnerable, and in no time at all, the butcherings begin.
This is really bad, and the heat of public out cry should be felt in D.C. Any Islamic good/bad/or indifferent should be unceremoniously hurled out of the country.
