Well, the biggest fad right now in New York is these hookah/sheesha bars which are mostly owned by Middle Easterners. Not to mention the gang-buster business the Arab and Afghan restaurants are doing in Manhattan.
If there's a backlash, I don't see it.
Doesn't NYC have a smoking ban? How is it hookah bars are permissible?
