(Okay, okay...so he doesn't check Sacred Cow Burgers. It's not 'cause I haven't tried...)
Im sure he keeps an ongoing track of AP, the Alphabet Network websites, ect.
In between that, he's probably also checking out his own self and engaging in by-play with his crew.
Rush needs an overhaul.
Rush calls his show "show prep" for other talk shows, but based on his flow of topics, it sure sounds to me as though FR is his show prep.
I heard him say a few weeks ago that MSNBC had one of the slowest sites to download. I guess he frequents it enough to know that because it sounded like he was a repeat customer.
He also gets hotline.com which is about $5000 a year to subscribe.
It sounds like he has Fox News on during his program, but I'm not sure about the websites he visits.
BTW, he mentioned today that he alone reads his e-mail (he does not delegate to a surrogate).
I think he visits a site by Rich Galen.
I would assume he's hittng the links on the Drudge page.
Listening to Rush was a real treat in the early 90s, because you when you heard the chainsaw rip into the Environmental Update theme, or the "Fierce and feminist" beat start, you had no idea what was coming next. It was great.
Many of us were online then, at GEnie maybe, or AOL, but there was no Free Republic, and few newspapers were online yet. Rush hit news stories that the local papers and newscasts didn't touch, stuff we had no idea was out there.
Point is, Rush had his sources then, and he has them now. The difference is that the evolution of the web has put many of them at our findertips as well, and usually before his show airs. Doesn't mean he doesn't do his own homework. He did just fine without us before FR came along!
He's on AM radio. He does not have a computer.
Move on to an adult news source.
Rush is doing what Rush does best---promote himself.
Appearing busy, crumbling papers into the sound of the mike, stumbling over his words---busy, busy, busy Rush.
He should run for office and give us the benefit of his gifts on loan from god.
