"Hopefully Bush will get put on trial for war crimes right now. There was a feeling that he was gonna get re-elected anyway, just because Kerry wasn't a very strong opponent.

"There's a small percentage of those people in the south that still wave the Confederate flag. I think George Bush is more of a threat to the freedom of America than (ousted Iraqi dictator) SADDAM HUSSEIN ever was."

A fairly successful alternative band that masquerades (IMHO) itself as punk.

Iggy Pop is the only real punk rocker, the rest are just posers.

I think Green Day should be put on trial for crimes against music.

...or at least be investigated for false advertising for calling their recordings "music".

What else would you expect from the guy who sang "American Idiot", a song that rails against America's "redneck agenda".

The guy is a brainless twit who should have fallen off the music industries radar screen back in the early 90's after Dookie got dumped on us.

That's a lot of dookie from the geniuses that are Green Day.

He sings like he's channeling Jerry Lewis (yes, I know JL isn't dead).

Where do these idiots get their information and why to they so easily accept what they hear as truth. I will never understand why so many people beleive what they hear without even trying to research and gather information for themselves. Some asshole says Bush is basically Hitler and people just accept that as fact? WTF. I don't get it.

Great pic, t_skoz; Brody is definitely "my type" of woman (as they put it way back in the day).

See, that's what I really love about FreeRepublic-- it just keeps surprising me. I never would have thought there was another Distillers fan on this thread, but here we are...

"I wasn't too impressed, and not only that, they mocked Christianity by hanging a banner of a bleeding naked woman on a cross behind the stage."

Listen, I SERIOUSLY doubt any of the Distillers are Christians, but the point of that isn't to mock Christianity. That cross--from the Coral Fang album cover-- is being used as the universal sign of "persecution" (and not literally), as in "I'm feel persecuted for my art, etc.". That might be a little melodramatic, but blasphemy it ain't.

Besides, isn't it usually the P.C. liberal-types who can't get through a day without looking to be offended by something? Don't overanalyze things, man.

Don't even bother trying to get anything they do. They can't even decide if we are straight off the society pages or if we are backwoods yokels. They don't even realize how elitist they are being.

Idiots rant, it's their nature to do so. This sounds no better or no worse than the shrieks and babble that echo through the halls of an insane asylum. It is just more irrational.
