Without a doubt, the UN and the folks at CNN were happier when these barbaric murders went unreported.

I'm not trying to take anything away form this, but it should be noted this isn't a new find, the story is from Oct.

They are too obsessed with pictures of terrorists with panties on their heads to even feel sorrow at the sight of these mass graves.

You have a way with words. I agree, one compassionate conservative to another.

"By one estimate, 300,000 people were slaughtered during Saddam's rule and dumped in 40 different mass grave sites around the country."

In times, such as these, it is a great comfort to have the adults in charge.

Many of these people found were Kurds. It is common knowledge Hussein used chemical weapons (technically referred to as weapons of mass destruction) against them. In fact, it is also common knowledge he detested the Kurds and did everthing he could to (to use a Jesse Jackson term) disenfranchise them. They were denied heath care, food, etc.

It is unlikely that we will ever find the WMD, unless we cross the border into Syria. That is where they were moved, prior to the war. Hussein saw OEF coming and knew if they were found, the evil US would be vindicated. Under the cover of darkness, apparently with the help of the Russians it turns out, they were moved into Syria and buried in the vast desert there. It is worse than trying to find a needle in a haystack. Somewhere, someone has to have the grids for where they are all buried. That is what we need. With that in hand, we can demand Syria allow us to excavate. If they refuse, we take matters into our own hands and Syria goes away just like Iraq did.

We know this--we "get it"--what I find amazing is that the liberals in this country don't (or won't) see it...wrong war rhetoric.
