If you work your way back on the root website
http://www.chosetheblue.com
you can get a lot more information. Some of the information is quite surprising. GE is 66/33 pro Pub, yet they own NBC/MSNBC. Something of a contradictory position.

French owned companies that come to mind (used to have a list in my purse)

Renault, owned mostly by the French government, is the majority stockholder of Nissan. So buy Toyota, or Mazda is you want a "Japanese" designed car. Ford holds a large minority ownership of Mazda. IIRC Toyota and GM are linked as well.

I have seen a report in Fox news during the summer that Wal-Mart supports Republicans and Cosco the democrats. I am glad now we don't have a Cosco here

Chick-Fil-A is heavily Christian...that's why they are NEVER open on Sunday.

No wonder Barnes&Noble was hiding "Unfit for Command" books

Just a point of clarification: Corporations cannot give to political campaigns.

These numbers are the donations of employees to political campaigns - which may or may not reflect the sentiments of the owners of the companies.

Home Depot gets a brownie point for NOT selling to the givernment.

Mainly that means they won't sell to your local Guard or Reserve unit, or an active duty unit spending local option funds. Mainly for so called "self improvement" projects. So they go to Lowes or Acme/Ace or a regional or local business instead. The sad thing is that such local one time retail purchases most likely do not cause all the government supplier regulations to kick in. AFAIK, only if they have contract with the government do those "feel good" regulations kick in.

This clearly explains why the libs absolutely HATE Wal-Mart. Yet, Sam started it in Arkansas, and they once even had The HildeBeast on their board of directors.

You're so right about that, but those colors have been around too long and are going to stick.

Not so long really. It was once the party that was the incumbent in the White House that determined the color. Then the networks froze it the way it is now. Red for Repulican isn't so bad, but Red for the Socialist Reds would make more sense.

But one thing, NO TARGET. They just announced the would NOT allow the Salvation Army Bellrigners this season. No shopping at Target... Isn't their parent company French, anyway? Hmmm, can't remember and can't look it up now as I have to go off and shop! LOL

I won't shop at Target, though, until and unless they allow the Salvation Army back. Other than that, good list.

You and me, Miz! I sent them a nasty gram. I hope they get coal for Christmas.

I am all for not shopping blue but I've seen an email about the hundreds of thousands of good young Americans that are buried in France during WWII not so long ago. We saved their butts, they should have supported us. I am more interested in not shopping France than I am in not shopping "blue". I think I can manage to do both but please see how many American's died there and we will see the correlation.

Don't buy car insurance from Progressive. The CEO gave millions to Kerry (second only to Soros). Most outdoors companies also banded together to support Kerry.
