There is a great article in the Wash Times about this. Link in another thread ... I'll see if I can find it. There were SS inside the building, and outside. The POTUS has TWO personal agents accompany him everywhere in public regardless. One of these is the lead agent for the entire presidential detail. The Chilean security had been fighting with the USSS all day on whether these two agents would be allowed to follow President Bush in the front door (reserved for dignitaries); the USSS basically said, "No way are we leaving the side of POTUS." When the President and Laura went through the door, the Chilean security closed ranks behind them and refused the president's two personal agents through. The lead agent, Nick Trotta, the guy with the mustache, was not taking no for an answer, and he is the one the President pulled in. The other one was allowed in a few minutes later. Pics:

This is the first of the President's two personal SS being restrained, the guy in the center with the yellow thingie around his neck. Looking at this again, it amazes me, what on earth is Chilean security thinking, to manhandle POTUS' personal SS that way?

And as has been said, the guy with the mustache is the President's lead agent.

That Nick Trotta guy goes with President Bush everywhere. He was in Iraq with Bush when the President flew in for Thanksgiving last year. When the President was walking among the troops, I remember one of the soldiers motioned for Trotta to hold his camera and take his picture with President Bush and the President nicely but firmly motioned the soldier to keep the camera away from Trotta so that Trotta didn't get interefered with in anyway in doing his job
