The thing is, cell phones aren't supposed to either be on or even be in certain areas and I'm sure this teenager has had time and opportunity to figure that out. I couldn't carry on into my last exam. You can't have them on in class. In that situation, the teacher can make you feel stupid for having it on. But in a court of law where the judge has descretion for what happens to you and has already warned everyone about the phone? Better suck it up and learn how to turn off the damn phone. Standing before a judge is a lot more serious than being in the military.
