I don't think it's unreasonable to have a 3 day waiting period for the purchase of all turkeys. If these guys had a "cooling off" period they might have changed their mind and not done it.
Also, we need to have background checks for anyone wanting to buy a turkey at a store grocery store, or turkey show. It's common sense measures like these we all need for 'turkey safety'.
