Reminds me of the cell that was working at a DMV...was it Georgia? Could be they had someone working in Texas who stole plates and stickers. Anything is possible, which is why WE are the best defense. Keep eyes and ears open.
Stolen in TX, then driven across the border into Mexico, then shipped to the middle east. I would bet there are cells operating in Mexico with just this purpose. I would also not at all be surpised if AQ hasn't stolen a few cargo ships for the purpose of moving things like this stolen SUV around.
I remember seeing a video several years ago where an 18 wheeler was stolen from a trucking company in Florida, driven through the chain link fence and right to the port facility and onto a ship bound for South America.

Florida and Texas have continued to be mentioned in the ongoing war against terror. I recall after 9/11 reading there was a terrorist who had been in TX for a long time and working as a doctor.

There's a big black market operation that involves stealing SUVs and other luxury cars in the US and Europe and shipping them to the Middle East for re-sale. That may explain it.
