I'll believe they are serious when they start taking Tom Tancredo seriously.

Take the man out of the woodshed and let him lead this thing.

DONALD RUMSFELD: The risk is that some of these human-smuggling routes into our country from this hemisphere could be used just as easily for terrorists.

You think Don?

Different subject. Those are common illegal alien thugs who do what they do. The terrorists come here for an organized purpose, not just to pick on random victims, but to cause planned mass chaos and destruction. And, for Rummy or anyone in the FedGov to act as if they are just now aware of it, is a great, big, steaming pile of Bull$#|+, IMO.

It appears that our government is suddenly "finding out" things we have known for years. Will they act upon it? Probably not, they don't want to slow down that illegal alien highway, American employers might get mad... and Vicente Fox might get pissed.

Like they don't know that *tons* of drugs are being brought in weekly.

One of these days, there will be a commercial tractor trailer parked at a Wal-Mart in Dallas TX, but instead of having 300 illegal aliens in back, it'll have something a bit more interesting.

Where's bayufraud?

He'll be here soon to let us know how much Rumsfeld hates brown skinned people.

Tancredo had a spot on the show tonight, too. It's worth going through the entire transcript.

WIAN: From ballot initiatives to petition drives, seven states are now considering limits on illegal alien benefits. Many are motivated by the failure of the federal government to control illegal immigration.

REP. TOM TANCREDO (R), COLORADO: There's no other way to do it. When you have a government that is unwilling to defend our own border simply because -- and only because -- they fear the kind of political consequences that would accrue as a result of stopping the flow of illegal immigration, we've got a problem, a big problem, and the people in Arizona -- I say God bless them for addressing it.

"Different subject."

Maybe. But they may be coming the same route. There are thousands like this one that would be fine Alqueda (still can't spell it!) recruits. It all stinks.

They know an attack is imminent, they are covering their behinds. Who ever is left, must not let these politicians get away with washing their hands of what they knew was coming as little as four years ago and probably much longer.

Since Rumsfeld dared to utter a word of this obvious titanic security breach, I wonder if he's getting ready to resign too?

Or is this some kind of rope a dope ploy to completely undermine what's left of our borders and sovereignty?

That's exactly what Bush's FTAA will do, as planned.

"Secretary Rumsfeld also said the United States has to be, as he put it, smarter and quicker in securing our borders. The federal government's failure to secure those borders is leading individual states to take action. Arizona's Proposition 200, which limits state benefits for illegals, passed overwhelmingly two weeks ago. Now at least half a dozen other states are considering similar measures."

Drug smugglers are one thing, swarthy Muslim Middle-East types learning Spanish in schools in Mexico and then heading north, blending in with Mexican illegals, are another. Courtesy of our friend Mr. Fox. I hope Mr. Powell had a nice, cordial visit with our friend. I hope the food and drink was good.

Okay - We have the House on the side of the nation(people) - now we need to get the Senate - I think a bill is coming up soon - containing something about immigration - and a report said something about the White House and Senate taking out the immigration issue(funding?) -

I have already e-mailed my Senators - haven't heard back - which is par for them - but maybe it wouldn't hurt to let all Senators know that the people don't agree with President Bush on this issue - Or perhaps I should say don't agree with McCain's view on illegals -

just my thoughts - Great that Rum. is waking up finally -
