I agree completely. In that regard I guess you could say I'm fortunate in living in south King County (outside of Seattle) where the feds maintain a PC attitude. It also doesn't hurt knowing many of the feds and living in a community that hosts a high number of deputies and our Sheriff...soon to be Congressman.

We have a very low crime rate in our community. If I actually heard someone outside my door yelling police I'd just wonder who wanted to borrow what now?

Damn - you live in King County? There's few places there that I'd be comfortable from either the criminal population or some of the rabid liberals you've got such a high number of. I guess that's why I live in a very rural part of Pierce County, where you call 911 after you take care of the problem yourself. More like asking for forgiveness rather than permission.

The only criminals around here are the tweakers, and the sheriff's would merely send you a thank you card for planting any of them in their absence. PCSD knows who they are, and as yet I've never seen a homeowner prosecuted for killing an intruder here. It gets a little tricky if you bag one in your yard, but that's what "spare firearms" are for, or merely a large knife.

Living on 220 acres on the Lewis County line by the Nisqually, if someone were stupid enough to travel down the length of my driveway at night without my blessing and with bad intentions, I'd challenge anyone to find their remains before one of the local bears and/or cougars removed any trace of them ever having stepped foot on this property.
