Heavenly Father, we thank you for watching over our country during our elections. We lift up to you our men and women in uniform and ask that you would place a wall of protection around them; give them strength that overcomes fatigue, courage that pierces fear, peace that passes all understanding.
We thank you, Lord, for allowing us to live in this beautiful, wonderful, free country. Help us to be citizens that glorify you, while also doing what we can to bring about healing, forgiveness and reconciliation where possible.
Give discernment and wisdom to our President as he forms his new cabinet and establishes priorities. We pray that he would continue to look to you for guidance. Let no weapon that is formed against him prosper, and protect him from physical harm. Bless and protect our President's family, our Vice-President and his family, too.
