Hey, you stole my idea!!!! Seriously I like that idea the best. Although there is a side of me that would just let the blue states go, the better idea is to let the blue counties go, but no matter what, I would have to pack my bags for a red state. I think the Puerto Rico idea is the best. Isn't Hispaniola near Puerto Rico, we can let them have the Dominican Republic and Haiti too so they can practice their liberalism there. Trouble is, they need to take those two over, since they have a paucity of firearms, they would not be able to. Even if they had the tools, the left could not even organize an expidition to catch a stray dog.

As I said before the election when some of the wackos on the Left were making riot noises: "If we have a Civil War, it won't be Illinois vs. Missouri or Illinois vs. the Bush administration. We downstaters won't be marching on Washington, we'll be marching on either Chicago or Springfield. Probably Springfield, they've got fewer guns down there."

Cool !! We can get serious about welfare reform in our country and send all those that refuse to work running to the blue country.

Lets see how they feel about their precious social programs when every one of them that is working is paying for ten that refuse. If they don't need to buy people's votes any more will they still offer their programs ?

That reminds me of William Johnstone's "Ashes" book series where the setting was after an atomic war between the US and USSR, General Ben Raines took three states in the South, broke off the USA and made "The Tri-States." After that, he went around the US and Canada cleaning up the country of pukes and other assorted bad guys. LAter on, they were known as the SUSA, Southern United States of America. People can come to the SUSA and live but there was very little welfare, if you are not able bodied, that's fine you were taken care of but if you are able bodied, you were expected to get a job, join the military or put in sweat equity for your welfare. I remember General Raines turned away people who wanted welfare but were able bodied to the "rump USA" that was run by a Clinton-like President.

Better keep drawing, Alberta would never agree. Canada divides long the same lines and for the same reasons that we do. Let's git er done! Align the freedom loving parts of Canada with the red states (or counties?) and let the balance form their very own Worker's Paradise.

Only one of the mining counties actually went to Kerry. Gogebic county(Ironwood).

The other two were Alger(Bush won in 2000 with 49%) and the democrat stronghold of Marquette where Bush held Kerry to 53%(Granholm got 58%). Unions dominate there, as well as Northern Michigan University.
