'Thou shalt not kill' removed from wall in Rotterdam (because of complaints by muslims)

ROTTERDAM - Police in Rotterdam removed this Wednesday a commandment from the Bible, 'Thou shalt not kill', from a wall in Rotterdam-North. A 52 year old man who tried to stop the police and the cleaners, was arrested. He was given a fine.

A police-spokesman claimed Thursdag that the removal of the texts fits in the national instructions given to police-officers to be on alert on all possible signals of unrests or provocation. "On Wednesday evening we were told there was a text on a wall right next to a mosque in the Insulindestreet. There was already an attempt to cover the text with paint, that is why we ordered the text to be removed."

Artist C. Ripken painted the text over a wallpainting he made earlier of an angel that flies above the world. Below the 'Thou shalt not kill' he added the date of 02-11-2004, the date that Theo van Gogh was murdered. Out of frustration, Ripken declared Wednesday. "It is annoying I am surfing along this sewer, but when I was told by my son that The can Gogh was murdered, I had a feeling I had to do something. I painted the text. It is the first time for me that I use text."

The next day Ripken has no understanding for the way police acted. "I am scared. It grips you if a man gets arrested because he tries to stop them from taking your text away. 'Thou shalt not kill' is a neutral text to me. If it's insulting to anyone, it's beyond my comprehension."

Theo van Gogh was murdered by a Moroccan muslim because of his insults towards islam. This caused a shockwave through society because they killed some one because of his opinion. Freedom of speech was attacked. But now also the government attacks that same freedom of speech. And how come muslims are offended by this text? I thought their religion was about peace and tolerance.

Guess not.

Because the text, "Thou shall not kill" is a direct attack on their most sacred practice; murder.

"The Radical Muslim Nation is a threat to free people all over the world."

Let's fix that...

Islam, The Cult of Murder®, is a clear and present danger/threat to all people, all over the world.

van Gogh's death was not in vain. He has brought the ugly truth about islam to the public who was always trying to avoid the issue. Now maybe Holland will slow immigration from nations that eat their meals off the floor with their hands.

politics aside the actual commandment is "thou shalt not murder."

very different meaning. however "thou shalt not murder" would have been equally appropriate in this case since what transpired was murder.

moslems don't see it that way. therefor its only a matter of time before they are kicked out of europe. the main american interest here should be in insuring that these people go back to the middle east, asia or where ever it was that they came from--rather than the US. In the USA faced with mortal enemies in Christians and Jews these expat euro muslims would see no alternative but to utterly destroy the USA by what ever means possible.

Islam is only about obeying, oppression, murder and mayhem.

There is no love to be found in it's preachings!

Because muslims killed van Gogh, and besides not being ashamed of it, they don't want to be publicly reminded of it. It would be good it there was a big show of support for Ripken, a Duthchman upholding his country.

All the nonsense about diversity is only a ruse to bring in divisions.

It seems that ever greater diversity in a society devoted to multiculturalism means less freedom for everybody in the name of social peace.

Before I read the rest of the posts, I want to say the first thing that has come to my mind (such as it is).

THIS is a reason for 'reasonable' people to INSIST that the USofA post the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the Ten Commandments on the walls of academia, the Courts, and Courthouses.

This Country built its own rules and regulations and laws around English Common Law which was built around (among other things) the 10 Commandments.

If 'reasonable' people do not INSIST upon this and pass laws regulating that NO ONE can remove said documents from a public place AND that the documents MUST be placed where the most people will see them, this Country will slip down the road to becoming an Islamic Theocracy.

No scare tactics, but if 'reasonable' people don't do something to protect the American way of life, it will become extinct.

I did mention about my father talking to an Imam who came to 'splain his "religion of peace" to a Republican Club, didn't I? In a one-on-one conversation my father asked the Imam "what if, not that it would, but what if your Country invaded America and won, what would happen, what form of government would you replace ours with?" The answer? "A theocracy" the Imam said with a smug smile (or my father said he looked smug when he said it). And we all know what kind of Theocracy the Imam was talking about.

Looks like the authorities in The Netherlands have (sadly) followed the approach
of a court (Federal, IIRC) in the USA that ordered The Ten Commandments out of
a public school.

As part of the reasoning for the removal there was a phrase that probably was
unintentional...but spoke volumes. My best paraphrase was that
"...the plaque should be removed lest student read and are influenced by it..."

The Theo van Gogh murder has actually gotten some press here in the USA.
And I think it was today reported that the Islamo-thugs were out for the life
of the writer (or editor?) of van Gogh's documentary.

Seeing the reports of violence in the Ivory Coast by Muslims INVITED into the country...
I'm even more in favor of a moratorium on the immigration of Muslims to the USA.
Before it's too freakin' late.
