ONE thing is very simple to understand..... Republican vs. Democrat:

The Democrats are against capital punishment.... ok..... many Catholic and Protestant Christians ARE. The thing that twists my gut is this: To put to death to a human being who has been tried and convicted of horrible crimes (Ted Bundy, the Green River killer, and many others)is WRONG, but to put to death an innocent baby, a BABY....who has never committed any sin (unless being inconvenient is a sin)is RIGHT? Sorry folks, but THIS is INSANE! I'm not just talking the talk..... I have walked the walk! I would never IMAGINE doing otherwise! To me, this is just backwards, even evil. The guilty are spared, but the innocent are not.

On his program Friday night, Raymond Arroyo gave a similar breakdown "by bishop". It clearly reflected the difference in the messages delivered by each one. In those states where diocesan bishops were more outspoken on the abortion issue, the percentage of catholic vote for Bush was commensurately higher. Missing from those statistics, was the breakdown by 'liberal' bishops. Now "that" would have been interesting!

A Catholic with a major party nomination should have won the Catholic vote by several million.

If that's true, Catholics shouldn't be allowed to vote.

The point that some people are still missing is: Kerry is not a "Kennedy" Catholic. I will bet bottom dollar that you will not see him in a Roman Catholic Church again, for a long time. And, contrary to popular belief, we Catholics are not the lemmings that the MSM and certain other parties are trying to make us seem. In fact most of us were ashamed every time Kerry uttered the words, "I was an alter boy."

Catholics who attend Mass weekly voted for Bush by 55% to 44%.

This number should have been much higher for Bush. I'm glad to see FL Catholics voted for Bush 2 to 1 over Kerry, but it's still not enough. What is wrong with these people????

Kerry has betrayed his God and Catholic Faith on many counts.

He has also betrayed his family, as he left his first wife without an annulment.

Now, you think the people would trust him NOT to betray the nation? Duh.

It's difficult for me to understand why so many 'good" Catholics voted for pro-abortion Kerry. It appears to me they did not heed their Pope or American bishops. Can someone explain this anomaly to us?

Another Democratic senator from Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy, once won stole an extremely close election because he overwhelmingly took the Catholic vote got Mayor Daley and other cronies to manipulate the count.

They voted for Bush over Kerry by 51 to 48%. In other words, they mirrored the popular vote to the exact number.

Am I supposed to be heartened by those numbers?

It means that there are millions of Catholics who either don't understand what John Kerry stands for or what it is to be Catholic.

His support rose not among the highly religious, but among the secular: those who attended church monthly (46 percent in 2000 to 50 percent in 2004), seldom (42 percent to 45 percent) and never (32 percent to 36 percent).

The above statistics were from the Manchester Union Leader's editorial dated 7 November 2004.

President Bush won by increasing his percentage of the vote in many groups. The outstanding increase IMHO (2%) was in the suburbs: 2% does not sound like much but the population of the suburbs is huge.
