I tried to explain to my dear female friend, who is Jewish, that it is important to vote for the party that is most sympathetic to Israel. I am a Christian, by the way. She seemed puzzled by the concept, and probably thinks that I am daft. I am sure that she is not alone. I don't mean to pick on anyone today, but I just pass this along. Sometimes one can only shake one's head.

There's nothing unusual in concept, she likely identifies herself as an American. And amongst those who are concerned about Israel a substantial number feel Israel could negotiate her way out of the problem. Just as America could with Iraq.

And here I am wasting my time, explaining to my dear friends who are Jewish/Christian/Italian/Irish/German/Greek/Turkish/Indian/etc. . . . that it is important to vote for the party that is most sympathetic to the United States.
