JOHN KERRY'S BIGGEST GUNS
New York Post | 11/04/04

Posted on 11/03/2004 11:15:19 PM PST by kattracks

Dan Rather was at his unctu ous best as the election re turns unfolded Tuesday night. Defending CBS's refusal to call Ohio for President Bush — when NBC and Fox already had — Rather declared: "We'd rather be last than be wrong."

With a straight face.

Considering that he and CBS — in airing a transparently partisan hit on Bush based on forged documents — had established a new low in media bias, that took nerve.

Or maybe he thought nobody would notice — which would mean that Rather's as much a moron as he is a hypocrite.

And considering that CBS deferred to its reporting partner, The New York Times, so that the paper could rush into print a last-minute "expose" on missing explosives in Iraq that turned out to be a prime example of overhyped journalism. In pushing to be first, not last, the team knowingly provided John Kerry with a hot button campaign issue.

[snip]

During October alone, Kerry coverage on the network news shows — Rather, Tom Brokaw and Peter Jennings — ran 77 percent positive. Bush's coverage, meanwhile, ran just 34 percent positive. Throughout the entire campaign, a full 64 percent — two out of three — of network stories on the president were negative.

Americans aren't blind to this blatant bias. The Pew Research Center for the People and the Press's survey found that fully 50 percent of voters believe most reporters wanted Kerry to win.

[snip]

President Bush was up against strong opposition this year — as much from the establishment media as from the Democrats and their allies. From beginning to end, their coverage was, indeed, wrong — which is why they consistently run last in public credibility. — THE EDITORS

It would have been 62-38 without the MSM donating billions of dollars in airtime/printspace for Kerry.

Wrong to the last. Did CBS call Iowa yet?

I saw Ted Koppell got his payback for the Vietnam tour & attempted hit against John O'Neill by spending the whole day yesterday with Hanoi John French Kerry - Koppell really believed that Kerry was going to win, that the media had done their duty, and was there along with the pathetic campaign as it sighed its final gasp and collapsed. After Kerry went to sleep Koppell was allowed no longer ROFLMAO

Ooh sweetie, it's way too late for that. When you've made your bed you have to lie in it. (a little play on words if you know what I mean)

It had been a work in progress, and you'd think it's time to put it to rest, but I might have to add another logo to it.
