Well, we do have Camp Pendleton, the San Diego Naval Base, and other military installations to lure them. When they get here, we'll give 'em directions to South Central or East L.A.

San Diego, as a bastion of conservatism in an otherwise liberal state, could be a target and for the reasons you've addressed. Our close proximity to the border would make it easy for them. All they'd have to do is smuggle a dirty bomb or suitcase nuke across and go no further. Of course, having only a fraction of the population as LA they'd be wiser to drive another 100 miles north. But then, those people voted for Kerry.
