My husband is still in line 2 hours now -- I won't be able to go vote until after work, at this rate, I may not get to vote at all because the doors will close before I get to the door!

Does anyone know what they do when there are still people standing in line because of overwhelming turnout and it's past the time the polls are suppose to close?

They cut the line off when the polls close. Then, anyone who is in line will still be allowed to vote. You have to be in line before 7:00pm.

In some places they tag the lines -- put someone at the end of the line to turn away late-comers, but allowing those ahead of him to vote.
