Teacher kicks student for wearing a pro-Bush shirt

A part-time college instructor has apologized for kicking a student because he was wearing a Republican shirt.

Fort Lewis College student Mark O'Donnell said he was showing people his College Republicans sweat shirt, which said "Work for us now ... or work for us later," when Maria Spero kicked him in the leg at an off-campus restaurant.

Spero then said "she should have kicked me harder and higher," said O'Donnell. "To physically take that out on someone because you disagree with them, that is completely wrong."

Spero, a visiting instructor of modern languages, apologized to O'Donnell in a letter dated Oct. 29.

"I acted entirely inappropriately by kicking you, giving vent to a thoughtless knee-jerk political reaction that should never have happened," she wrote. "Before the incident, I did not know you and that you are a Fort Lewis student."

I dunno people, if someone kicked me (other than in some mock-friendly jest between friends), I think they'd be apologizing after they picked their teeth up off the floor. What do you think? I'm over that...if someone were to pull a stunt like that it would be "Whoomp! Boot to the head!"

I'd ask, why is that "instructor" still employed? Such behavior by a Republican would have resulted in the MSM attacking the school, the dnc denouncing the school and of course, jesse the jackass would be there to have his picture taken and screaming it was racially motivatead. al simpleton would call for a boycott.

It was a woman that kicked the student. I was raised not to hit women, maybe the student was, too.

Think that lame excuse would work for a faculty Bush supporter kicking a Rat student? The media would be all over it pushing lies about the culture of hate and intolerance pervasive in conservative ideology. Meanwhile, back in reality GOP campaign offices are being trashed nationwide and Bush supporters are frequently becoming whipping posts for the illiterate and illogical leftist practitioners of tolerance and understanding.

Ever since I saw the details of what Michael Moore was producing with Fahrenheit 9/11 - I refused to pay money for a ticket or a video rental to watch it - I have been saying to myself that if the Democrats go down hard in this election we are going to be on the edge of violence in American politics because one side refuses to engage in constructive debate and lies to its own people about what is actually going on. The real arbiters of this process, by which I mean those who are supposed to keep the facts straight, are the press and . . . well, I guess you see my reasons for expecting the worst.

She may have the right plumbing to be catagorized as a woman, but she's definately no lady.

Simple equation for women: if you don't want to get hit, don't hit first.

I'm sorry -- "I didn't know he was a Ft. Lewis student." As if that explains it?? He should file charges against her, absolutely. Citizens are protected by laws from assault and battery. Even by Democrats who think they have a REASON. HellO.

Ah, yes these are the tolerant, the meek, the humble and the peaceful. Dumbocrats, so full of hate, intolerance, and violence. There is good and there is evil, there is W and there is sKerry.

Once again... Not sorry for anything other than she got caught. She should fired immediately. Preferably from a large cannon.

I'd have dropped whomever kicked me, like a 50lb sack of sh!t, on a 20-mile hike.

Here's the email I sent to her yesterday, and below this is the response I received today. Sounds like she's changing her story!

Dear Ms. Spero: I just read about you kicking a Ft. Hood student for wearing a republican sweatshirt. Isn't it the liberals who always preach opened mindedness, "choice" and tolerance. This is just another example of how hypocritical you all are. And what an example you are giving to our young men and women. Shame shame!!!! May the lord have mercy on your soul! Regards.

(response)

It was indeed unfortunate. However, there are two sides to every story. I certainly did not walk across the room to kick the young man, he tauntingly backed up to me with his rear end in my face while I was seated at a table. The unfortunate kick was due to the repulsiveness of the situation. I am paying dearly for it. I feel it is another instance of distortion by the Republicans. María Spero

I don't consider liberal female activist wackos, women; they're harradans and skanks, and deserve what's coming as a result of their actions.
