Today's gospel reading (Maronite Rite), was on the Final Judgement, when our Lord will separate those who "fed, clothed and visited Him", from those who did not. Our pastor used this gospel to deliver a very powerful homily on the election. He said the Catholic Church can't dictate how to vote; they are responsible to remind us though of church teachings. There is NO way a christian can endorse a candidate who is pro-abortion! There is no way a a christian can endorse a candidate who seeks to destroy the traditional family. We as catholics have a duty to examine the stands taken by all politicians and vote accordingly. God bless this priest!!!

"I believe in the church and I care about it enormously," said the Massachusetts senator. "But I think that it's important to not have the church instructing politicians. That is an inappropriate crossing of the line in America." LOL, that's like saying I believe in the Catholic Church to a point, so don't confuse me with its teachings because, I have my mind made up.
