HOLY @#%^@#$&!!!! Joe Lockhart was trying to spin the myth that W let UBL escape from Tora Bora and citing retired AF (I think) General McPeak's statements that are negative about the war. Gibson pointed out that Gen. Franks himself has said that Kerry has his facts wrong about the situation in 2001 at Tora Bora.
John Gibson: "Mr. Lockhart, you aren't questioning Gen. Frank's credibility are you?"
Lockhart: "What I'm not doing is questioning Gen. McPeake's credibility...Gen. Franks has had two years to get his story straight about Tora Bora and he's out there doing the President a political favor."

And how do we know this?
She fed Joe.
"five more days till that POS-RAT is out of a job!!!"
THANK GOD!!!!!!!!
I think there's a place in hell for Lockhart, as well as all other liars (Revelation 21:8).
Franks was the operational commander of that operation.
What was McPeake's job at CentCom at that time?
At best he either served under Franks or provided support to Franks.
Could it be John was giving joey all the rope he wanted to hang himself and hanoi john with?
McPeak was awful!! He was absolutely the worst Chief of Staff during my years in the Air Force. Just for starters he forced touchy feely Total Quantity Management on us, ruined our uniforms and conducted an arsine reorganization. Other than that he wasnt very good. Every time McPeak endorses Kerry I guarantee it cost him votes from former AF members.
Yes, we probably should do a benefit. /sarcasm
John Kerry is the wrong candidate, in the wrong race, at the wrong time.
Were we supposed to ignore a plea for a cease-fire? What would the MSM have said if we ignored a cease-fire plea?

Hugh Hewitt just played the clip
McPeak is a great general and above reproach (puke!) but General Franks is a political hack.
Lockhart is such an a$$hole.
From what I read here at FR he's another one of those PERFUMED generals like weasley clark.
I heard Franks is planning to weigh in on nitrogate. They're probably trying to reduce his credibility before that happens.
At best he either served under Franks or provided support to Franks.
I think he was retired and watched it on CNN but, he did stay in a Holiday Inn Express.
We are getting realllllll close to civil war.
I think you're right.
My memory says that he is a Gulf I general of GW's father...is that right?
Or is he the Kosovo air campaign guy? Something...
Joe Lockhart essentially said, "Choosing between the stories of a guy who wasn't there and one who was there and in charge of everything....I think I'll go with the guy who wasn't there."
Clinton sure knew how to pick 'em, didn't he?
I caught most of it (dinner nearly got burned trying to watch all of it). Joe looked as demented and upset as I've ever seen him.
Hmmm? Does McPeak have a personal problem with Cheney ..?? Did they get into it over some issue ..?? Or is it just a matter of differing points of view ..??
To the best of my knowlege McPeak ws RETIRED by the time Enduring Freedom kicked off.
