"Anglos" began settling in Texas in large numbers in, correct me if I am wrong, the 1820s. They did more to develop Texas in 10 years than the Spanish and Mexicans did in 300. You are also correct about the fact that Mexico still has no ability for self-rule.

Bing-fricking-GO! There was no desire on the part of the mexicans to even go to Texas until the Anglos built something to "go" to. This is the most astute statement from New Jersey for the entire day.

An even more disheartening thought is that mexico will have no ability for self-rule in the foreseeable future. Corrupt, incestuous power driven "politicians" and LEO's will keep mexico in the third world gutter forever.
