they seem almost more like a pepper type than cuc to me
makes me think of Mangoes.. never had heard of them until I moved to & lived in Panama for 2 years. WE had 5 large trees in back of officer housing we lived in. The rotted /fermented on ground. Thousands of them. I tought they were very stringy & a poor substitute for a peach..
now in stores they are VERY expensive.. I don't buy them. Didn't like them when they were abundant & free & don't like them now.
I have never heard of courgettes myself snugs
They part of the cucumber family but are in reality a small marrow. Do you have marrows in the States? Similar in one way I suppose to your squashes not much taste mainly water.
I LOVE mangos! If I eat more two or three bites I get hives though. The ones sold in Washington aren't known for being very stringy; I don't know where they are grown.
