I was wondering why he took such a left turn awhile ago... now I know. Maybe he'll replace Dan Blather pretty soon.
Excellent.
You have splained it perfectly.
Little Tommy Daschle better quit talking about being an altar boy in his TV ads.
He has organized a non-profit organization called De Fide. You can get more information here:
Faith is somethings which you cannot buy or sell. Nor can you merit of your own accord. It is not in diplomas...certicifates showing episcopal approval of one's diaconate, extraordinary minsitry of the Eucharist, ability to take up the collection, put felt appiques on the tabernacle, or teach.
NO! It is a gift from God - freely given. Some are simply belst with it from their earliest days, as one of God's gifts to them. Others not - they must pray, and earnestly desire to receive this gift, and its inherent graces.
The person who told you this has not faith. Certainly not in the same God you worship. They either never had it, or have gone astray and lost it.
Pray for their return to God. Show them the charity of brotherly rebuke of their erroneous views. Then if they persist in their sin, "let them be filthy still", and go your way.
Then at the great Day of Judgement, when they feign ignorance, they will be reminded of the humble testimony of a good Catholic, who cared enough for their soul to try to show them the way to the light of Christ.
Never give up the fight!
FYI, it was Richard McBrien.
Check out www.defide.com for more information on him and on the suit.
Been there, done that, Lord it's wonderful!!! Wish I was still living near a Maronite church. I LOVE that liturgy...
That would work except that I teach CCE with a friend. This is year 5. 3 Years of high school kids and I was ready to walk out and not look back. I decided to give it another try with my friend. We have basically the same class we had last year. They are 7th graders this year. I love these kids. The suggestion has been made to stay with them through Confirmation. They are an incredible blessing, giggling, talking out of turn, being too loud, late and all.
Witch way are they gonna burn him?
A canon lawyer tries to live his faith, and is fired by the Cardinal Mahoney.
I wonder what God thinks about this one?
