And on a slightly less related note, but still pertinent to Kerry's distortions, I was surprised that W didn't slam back at Kerry about health coverage.

There's a huge difference between not having HEALTH INSURANCE and not having HEALTH COVERAGE. In the US, NOBODY can be denied medical treatment if they go to a hospital. It's federal law. EVERYONE must be treated, regardless of the ability to pay. Of course a hospital is going to try to collect, but if they can't, the loss gets tacked on to the charges of future patients.

So, It's really deceptive to quote the numbers of those who have health insurance. Many of those are students who elect not to have coverage. W should have made that a point. The insurance only defrays the cost to the consumer, it is not what provides the health coverage.

Several times in the debates, W prefaced his responses with "It's hard to know where to begin". There's only so much rebuttal that can happen in 90 seconds. Part of the stRATegy was and is to overwhelm W and the electorate with a deluge of lies too numerous to refute...

Didn't Kerry miss the Senate vote?

It's also hard to imagine how we lost 1.6 million jobs, but the unemployment rate is right about where it was when Dubya took office.

I'm really getting tired of hearing people regurgitate this mantra.

Me too. I mean, for Pete's sake, we'll probably have Fallujah cleaned out by Election Day! What the heck do these people want? How come none of the people who call Iraq "chaos caused by George Bush" ever call bus bombings in Israel "chaos caused by Yasser Arafat"?

Irrelevant in either case.

Dang straight. Job creation is not the President's responsibility, period.

Every time I hear sKerry say " I have a plan" , I scream at the TV or Radio: "Custer had a plan, too"!!!!!

New tagline!

Looks to me like it was offered as opinion, not a conclusion supported by assumptions.

I firmly believe that in just a few years the payroll survey will be considered about as reliable as reading chicken entrails. My Econ prof already has ditched it, and he's left of center.

I might also be one of Kerry's 1.3 million. I left a sales position with a newspaper to go back to school and get my business degree with my remaining GI Bill money. In mid Novemebr I will be opening up my own one-man commercial writing business, and I'll still be "unemployed" in Kerry's world.
