Whatever happens tonight, and for the rest of this election campaign, if there are any medals available for balls, John O'Neill should get one.

Question: Is this John O'Neil the same one that Bush referenced in the debate last night as having introduced him to Laura at a backyard BBQ?

Too bad they cannot talk to the non-communist Vietnamese of the time.
They died by the hundreds of thousands at sea, trying to escape.
Or in re-education camps.
Or were murdered by the butchers who hail Kerry as their hero in a Hanoi museum.

Of course, whatever they claim, we can believe ABC News because they are the Mainstream Media and they Never Lie, even if their internal memos suggest that they are bending over backwards to carry Kerry's water.

I heard a radio commercial for this. it will be a HIT PIECE on SBVT.
Koppel interviews the Vietnamese people who were actually there, and their stories back up Kerry. Go Figure!

You know guys this one is even bigger than Dan Rathers false and fraudulent report:
Ted Kopulate is at it again. Tonight Oct 14, 2004 we will all find out the truth about Kerrys war exploits on Feb. 28, 1969. How much do you think it cost Nightline to send a crew to Vietnam and dig up a few poor saps and promise them whatever they desired to give an interview about some obscure day 35 years ago?
Here is what they expect us to believe: The witnesses, all Vietnamese, are still living in the same villages where the fighting took place more than 35 years ago. A Nightline producer visited them and recorded their accounts of that day. The accounts were subsequently translated by a team of ABC News translators. Get real!
And youd have to be brain dead not to realize that this self-serving declaration is bogus: Nightline's request to visit the village, saying they did not want to somehow influence the U.S. presidential election. This doesnt even pass the laugh test Ted! Let me see if I got the intent of your innocent disclosure? What we are about to hear from the paid off witnesses you concocted is that they are fair and balanced just like FOX news? Well Ted, let me take a few more sips of your kool-aid and then maybe Ill be convinced.
According to Vo, there were at least 20 Viet Cong soldiers at Nha Vi there that day. "There were 12 soldiers from the provincial level and eight from the district level," he said. His wife, Vo Thi Vi, 54, said Feb. 28, 1969, is a day that the villagers of Nha Vi hamlet will never forget. "Everything was destroyed," she said. "There's no houses left. They leveled everything. There was no leaves left. The fighting was very fierce."
How fortuitous to find anyone who remembers John Kerry. These people know more about John Kerry than most of the people who intend to vote for him!
Id like to say what I really think of Teddy the Kopulator but it wouldnt be prudent.

And there Andrew found several people who had either witnessed the events of that day, or in some cases, had actually fought against the swift boats.LOL, sure he did and I'll bet he wrote it all down using Microsoft Word and a Dell Dimension 4500 back then too.

Just got through reading the book yesterday. How Kerry supporters can say with a straight face they support that traitor is beyond me.
Is anyone really surprised that the RATS are trying to suppress the free speech they claim to champion?

I agree this is a hit piece but the Dem's don't need this bubbling about. They should be rightly concerned that voters that were originally turned off by the controversy but have since found Kerry at least tolerable, will be reminded of his questionable service and flip back.
This is going to get really nasty in the next few days and Kerry won't be able to debate his way up in the polls anymore. Its back to stumping (which he sucks at),and running false hit pieces against Bush(which have been happening for more than a year so again no big impact.) Kerry is hoping to coast home and anything that brings attention to his past is a minefield.

So far the swiftvets recall is holding up. Maybe this isn't a Kerry support news cast? I'm not holding my breath....

I think it will be mostly this:
What Happened in Kerry's Vietnam Battles?
http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/Vote2004/story?id=166434&page=1
They interviewed a bunch of people in Vietnam, who knew EXACTLY what happened on a particular day some 30 years ago, and exactly what Kerry did and so testified.
And if anyone believes this, I have lots of bridges to sell.
I think ABC is going to try to paint O'Neill as a liar, confronting him with the "strong evidence", the testimony of a bunch of people in Vietnam, who have no reason to remember one particular day versus another 30 years later.
ABC is willing to take the word of those people, but are not willing to take the word and evidence presented by 60 US true war heroes.
