"Not when men are in the management positions to hire and set salaries."

Yeah, plus those hardened steel shackles they weld shut on those poor women's arms so they can't possibly leave and get a better job for higher pay at another place.

Damn, I just wish we had the freedom in this country to leave our jobs if we want to.

Hmmmm. I'm not the one who's keeping a low paying job working for an oppressive boss.

And thanks for your insult.

Women are paid less than men for performing the SAME job.

Not true, women actually make a statstically insignificant amount more than men for performing the same job with the same training and experience.

My job isn't low paying but the men doing the same job get more pay.

And you're welcome.

I have no idea what you are saying. Women in my company compete in a male dominated industry every day. They are all well paid so they aren't in an abusive work environment as you describe. You are thinking McDonald's but you need to be thinking "hitting the glass ceiling."

If you ever get to see the salaries of the people sitting right next to you with the same years of experience doing the same job and then compare them, well, guess what. The men get more.

What do you do? What is your experience? What did you demand? What do you produce? What are your hours? Do you get any beneficial treatment as a result of your sex?

What about the men that you are supposedly comparable to?

I know since you are so convinced you're right you must be eager and willing to let us know the answers to all these questions. Toss `em out! I'm looking forward to hearing a clear-cut case of discrimination. The EEOC looks for people just like you who have all the facts at their disposal and are able to see the truth to help stop workplace discrimination on the basis of sex.

Experience is the issue. Women tend to come & go from the workforce, breaking up their employment track records.

You sound like one of those angry feminists. Why don't you get a sex-change operation if being a woman is such a raw deal?

Yup....and we all know how you angry feminists "feel" about "manly" men.

You are sidestepping my questions. Why? Because you're full of it and now we all know it. Feel free to make up an answer that sounds good, now, but your initial dodge was more telling than anything you will post in the future.

However, unlike you, I am answering questions posed to me today. Why am I so "very angry?" you ask. Let me clarify things for you.

People like you point fingers without any support for their claims, and in today's society this is acceptable as discourse. People like you have really no idea if there actually is discrimination against them, but don't like where they are and refuse to blame themselves.

In the odd situation where there is discrimination, people like you rarely do anything but bitch about it and give selfish excuses about their inaction. "I can't lose my job!" "I can't have that on my record!" "I can't do it alone!" Instead of for once making society better through a lawsuit (of all things, a lawsuit that actually serves a societal purpose?!?), by suing and trying to end legitimate discrimination when you really have a case, by making people fear to violate what is in fact the law and a just one at that, people like you just whine and gripe about it.

99.9% of the time you are just bitching without any real evidence at all. Women and minorities often act this way, crying wolf and pointing fingers, but far too many white men accept this unsupported bitching quietly instead of stopping it. The result is that those men and government, which is responsive to the majority of its voters, cater to you to get you to shut the hell up. Because people like you bitch about how life is unfair to you so much, and 60s and 70s men put up with that crap--and far too many believed it simply because people like you told them to--we now have affirmative action to make up for discrimination that isn't really there.

And affirmative action discriminates against me and my kids. And any group that is considered a majority at the time of hire. And societally puts people in place that are always less competent and usually not competent.

Yet reverse discrimination isn't something you hear about daily, because it's legal. I'm white, and I'm male, and my son will be too, and he will be a member of a class that will be discriminated against and people like you will care not one whit. I've seen many women get furious about affirmative action where it affects them as non-minorities. I have yet to see ONE woman furious about affirmative action affecting their sons or husbands. Or realizing it societally affects them. Or even CONSIDERING its societal effects out loud. Any idiot can see all bureaucracies are now staffed primarily by affirmative-action hires and everyone has personally experienced the crushing incompetence of those bureacrats in terms of time and money. Why does no woman cry out about affirmative action while she waits in the line at the DMV? Because she'll get to the front and find a doppleganger waiting for her.

Why would I be angry about listening to you whine about your 'discrimination' case, when I'm really, legally being discriminated against daily? When I can prove it, but even if I do, nothing will happen, while if you even charge it all hell will break loose? When I will have my son apply to the highest institutions knowing that he must be heads above women and minorities in order to even be considered, but your daughter will have a significantly lower bar? When I know that people like you have made discrimination on the basis of sex and race legal simply because it was what you think is fair? When I know that people like you decided to try for payback against the people that made them angry, and instead, my sons and I will pay for it, and people like you will call it justice? And the idiots on the Supreme Court will pretend that it's Constitutionally acceptable (just ask Fairness O'Connor--she sure as hell has nothing to do with justice).

Gosh, I forget why I was angry--you tell me. /sarcasm

Ping to 38. And unlike ConvictHitlery--I DO have hard feelings about people who support affirmative action.

She isn't doing anything about her situation except griping.
She is the personification of the old joke applied to her personality:

Q: How many women does it take to change a lightbulb?

A: None. She'd much rather sit in the dark and bitch about it.

She's not happy until she can complain. Every man's dream woman
