For the life of me I cannot figure out why Edwards and Cheney keep mentioning Cheney's gay daughter. Do they honestly think that this will make the religious right re-think their Bush vote?

A friend of mine is a gay HIV+ New Yorker who ALWAYS votes Democrat, and he is voting for Bush--he says Kerry is jsut too clueless and wishy-washy. Not all gays vote on "gay" issues, and this guy just cannot vote for Kerry, his rote babbling of the Gay Party Line isn't helping him in at least this one instance.

My thoughts exactly (and Edwards was just as pandering and without taste in the VP debate.) I would think that a gay woman putting national interests above her own is a real threat to the Dem's.
