Kewl. This is exactly what needs to happen. As long as it is Americans getting killed playing cat and mouse with the terrorists, Fallujahans will continue to harbor the terrorist, either willingly or otherwise.

Once it becomes clear that Fallujah will be leveled if they don't out the terrorists, then we will hopefully be seeing terrorists decorating the bridges as a peace offering.

"If the Arabs will not leave willingly, we will make them leave by force," said Jamal Adnan, a taxi driver

That the Fallujahns themselves are tiring of the foreign Arabs causing such violence in their city is a very good sign...for Geo Bush. Not that this makes the other insurgents our friends but it's a good sign of progress, that's for sure.
Shooting 5 of them even?

Well, well when the Fallujahns learn to take out their own trash it makes our job a lot easier!

Hope it's true, but stories like this have been popping up for months now. I'll get excited when I see it actually happening.

This has been building for a while and I was wondering when it would start to break down. Various Iraqi papers have been reporting on the friction between the groups since early summer.

The most recent is this

http://www.iwpr.net/index.pl?archive/irq/irq_83_1_eng.txt

Like many in Fallujah, this policeman expressed resentment at insurgents who are capable of calling someone a spy merely for talking with people from out of town or trying to make a call on a satellite phone.

"I hate them,” he said. “The mujahideen can decide 'you're a good man', or 'you're a spy.' If it's 'you're a spy', then you're finished."

Others resent the mujahideen’s contempt for anyone who chooses not to carry arms.

"When I see them, I say 'Welcome! Welcome mujahideen! God grant you victory!' But in my heart I curse them," said one merchant.

He recently saw a group of fighters preparing to fire a mortar outside his house, and asked for a few minutes to get his family away from the area before US forces shot back.

The insurgents granted the merchant's request, but only grudgingly, telling him he was a coward, not a Muslim.

The disputes have spilled over into harsh words and sporadic violence, with Fallujans killing at least five foreign Arabs in recent weeks, according to witnesses.

Bush is a genius.

Over 2 years ago he predicted the terrorists would turn on one another as our pressure increased.

"One of the foreign guerrillas killed by local fighters was Abu Abdallah Suri, a Syrian and a prominent member of Zarqawi's group, whose body was discovered Sunday. Suri was shot in the head and chest while being chased by a carload of tribesmen, according to a security guard who said he witnessed the killing. "

It's a start. Too bad there's no way to keep that going. Perhaps by surrounding the place and demanding the foreign terrorists are turned over in exchange for amnesty.

Then, when that happens, use an Islamic-style flimsy pretext to resume shooting, and gun down all the local terrorists.
George W. Bush will be reelected by a margin of at least ten per cent
