Man, keep Mike McCurry out of the same room as Iraqi Prime Minister Allawi.
I hear from informed sources that McCurry has written a letter to the Weekly Standard that includes the following:
William Kristols editorial, Disgraceful (Oct. 4), lives up to its name by failing to note that Prime Minister Allawis impressive speech to Congress was likely drafted by political operatives for President Bushs reelection campaign.
Can we count on this prime minister to honor the election results here in America if Sen. Kerry wins?
Mike McCurry
Senior Adviser, Kerry-Edwards 2004
Washington, DC
I understand the Weekly Standard has confirmed the letter is authentic, and from McCurry.
"Likely"? What is this, Dan Rather standards?
McCurry's letter is a big middle finger to the Prime Minister of Iraq, who is merely trying to keep his country stable enough to hold elections and give the Iraqi people, who have had the stuffing whipped out of them for a generation, a chance to pick their own leaders and give liberty a chance.
You can imagine the words that are appropriate for the snotty, disrespectful, and small-minded man who is advising Kerry on these matters. And to think I once respected McCurry.
Is there really any doubt that a President Kerry would abandon Allawi to the wolves the first chance it got?
I wonder if Bush could bring this up during the debate.

Kerry's cronies in France and Germany want the Iraq govt replaced with an anti American dictator so they can do business. Kerry saw no problem with our S Vietnamese allies being killed after the war (see his Dick cavett interview). Kerry and his crew hate the Iraq government and if elected they will allow it to be replaced by something horrible. Ala Jimmy Carter and Iran.
McCurry had better watch it. Anyone see Kristol after the VP debate when he barked at the great liar Susan (the Kerry water carrier)? He even scared me!
Warning: Don't EVER call this guy a liar.
So what if it was?
Can we count on this prime minister to honor the election results here in America if Sen. Kerry wins?
What does that mean? How could Alawi not honor our election results? The real question is whether Kerry will honor the election results in Iraq next January if he was sworn in later that month.
he is a traitor to the USA. just like his boss....
Shocking letter. A new low for McCurry.
and can we expect Kerry as prez (God forbid) to write his own speech IN ARABIC if/when he addresses the Iraqi legislature????
Further evidence of how Ketchup Boy and Breck Girl will 'build coalitions.'
Can we count on this prime minister to honor the election results here in America if Sen. Kerry wins?
... about as much as the democrats have honored the results of the last US election.
