OTTOWA -- A full-length animated film about the early life of the Prophet Muhammad is being released in North America to help fight anti-Muslim prejudice.
Muhammad: The Last Prophet will be screened in 37 cities, including Toronto, London, Ont. and Windsor, Ont., for one week starting Nov. 14.
The screenings coincide with Eid ul-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the Islamic fast of Ramadan.
Rabiah Ahmed, spokeswoman for the Council on American Islamic Relations, which is sponsoring the screenings, said studies have shown prejudice decreases when people get accurate information about Islam. She said the film is timed so that Muslim families can celebrate Eid with a film, and also to spread awareness about Islam to the non-Muslim community.
"...please don't bomb us".
"Animated Muhammad Film to Promote Tolerance"
Here is the FULL version of that.
"Last prophet" baloney. According to the Bible (NOT a
forgery, as the Muzzies insist), the only prophets to come
after the Lord Himself were FALSE prophets.
What's next.. a cartoon for children telling them abortion is fantastic?
My comments on moohammad from another thread
Hehehe...I love you my FRiend!
Stay in touch...how's Howard doing?
Whoa, Bush vs sKerry NOW...later.
Thank you Mr. Good...
You know, I could do an animated movie about old Moe. But you'd better believe it wouldn't be flattering.
Is it going to show images of the face of Mad Mo? That'll get you a death fatwah.
The use of media is heavily emphasized.
Do the Muslims get to have a cartoon teaching tolerance of Jews, Christians, Hindus and Buddhists?
Oh, I guess it's virtuous to hate, vilifry, torture, kill and behead people as long as they aren't Muslims.
But thinking negative thoughts about Muslims? The pinnacle of horror.
Pedophiles worldwide will be racing to check out the 6 yr old getting married and deflowered at 9.
Stop islam now.
Will the film show the marriage of Muhammed and Aisha?
Looks like they are overcoming their image thing.
ON THE NET...
It's 5pm on the east coast in Australia, just came back from voting for Howard, polls close in an hour, and after reading more than 5000 comments on the GWB/JFK debate thread I'm feeling much more confident! (Want some wood?) LOL! Freedom! Freedom, democracy for Afghanistan. GWB won the debate, Howard returned (I pray) next stop 4 more years GWB/Cheney and elections in Iraq! What more could anyone ask for? I know. A movie, a real block-buster that exposes who the real mohammad was. No kidding, I mean that, I do plan to write to Gibson.
When you think about all the films that have been made about historical people, why has no one done this before now? If we are too afraid to tell the truth we are sunk. (What are the mooselimbs going to do? Burn down the movie theatres, or try and ban the film?)
We should know the results to our election (unless it's VERY close) by 8 or 9 pm. I'll let you know.
