Who has the database (OnStar appears to be an early implementation of the technology).

On-Star is only in GM vehicles?

Commercial truckers already have their every movement tracked and scrutinized, so now that the bugs have been worked out, time to 'take it to the next level.'

Who knows? We have OnStar and I think it's great. I don't think we're tracked...but who's to say? My interpretation of OnStar is that we need to contact them before they know exactly where we are, whether it's by a phone call or an inflated airbag. That's my understanding anyway.

Although I've heard of rental cars being tracked. Someone was cited for a speeding ticket via whatever system was installed. I 'think' it got thrown out of court though.
