Within the past few days, the potential for a seismic breakthrough against terrorism has been approved by the House Judiciary Committee, sponsored by Dennis Hastert, House Speaker, who has just introduced a bill, HR 10, which embodies most of the recommendations of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (9-11 Commission) as contained in its recently released report.
In short, in the climate in which we all want greater safety from terrorism, guess what? It has just been learned that the Bush Administration is pressuring the GOP Leadership, the main authors of H.R. 10, to strip the immigration provisions from H.R. 10. Can this be believed after all Bushs talk about concern for our safety that the plain vanilla straight forward obvious steps proposed by HR 10 are not ones Bush wants to be passed?

Yes, the President has a better plan.
BTW, if you don't already know, you should know that the column is a Democrat division piece against our Campaign effort.
The President will win the Election, regardless of what the pro-terrorist Democrats and Europeans who call us "neo-cons" want.
The only thing that I can think of is the "one global world" that I heard Bush Sr. talk about when he was President.
These type of deceptions and lies are typical of the anti-Bush anti-Mexican racists who hide behind the children security to promote their hatred and bigotry.
And this election has nothing to do with electing the next president of the United States.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
huh?
can you explain the provisions then?
Oh Puh-leeeeeeze!!
Don't fall for the dem strategy of divide and conquer.
The President's plan is better than what the 911 commission wrote. That's why the President wants the 911 articles taken out.
Which one are you confused about? You do know that the provisions in question were not part of the 9/11 Commission recommendations don't you?
Please expand and link support for your contention?
I realty want to believe you, however, I am afraid that this action is consistent with GWB previous actions.
I remember when I took down my Another Family in Support of the Troops and Bush sign. The exact day that he announced his amnesty that was not amnesty.
I am holding my nose and voteing for GWB, however, now I might just stay home.
Hastert's office issued a press release this afternoon that said this is totally false. The Bush administration is doing no such thing.
Looks like valid points to me. Although I am not too hot on #4
1. Federal employees could not accept Matricula Consular cards as ID.
2. Illegal aliens would be subject to expedited removal, avoiding frivolous delay proceedings which often take years.
3. Use of a revoked visa would allow deportation.
4. Sets National Drivers License standards for all states
5. Establishes an interstate drivers license database to avoid duplication and fraud
6. Requires a birth/death records system be kept to avoid granting false identities.
These type of deceptions and lies are typical of the anti-Bush anti-Mexican racists who hide behind the children security to promote their hatred and bigotry.
LOL, most Americans of Mexican decent are in favor of stopping illegals.
Anti Bush? Shouldnt one support the man because of policies and beliefs instead of supporting the policies because of the man. I for one have core values and support the person that meets these values.
Since any 'Rat will win collect DC's 3 electoral votes with a 90 percent margin, I'm free to write in someone else or just leave the President slot blank.
Remember, terrorist have immense financial resources and state sponsored resources.
Terrorists don't swim the Rio Grande or crawl across the desert. They have officially issued visas and identification papers, even if the names are phony and the stated reasons for visiting are lies.
The provisions in question were added by Congressmen to keep out low income laborers, not terrorists.
Can you post link?
Went to Hasterts district site and found press release dated 9/24 as the latest.

Also went to his speaker site and found nothing about press release relating to refuting this story.

#,2-5 would speed up the extradition process. After 911 thousands of illegal suspect middle easterners were still in country and could not be located due to a plethora of regulations that #2&3 would possibility have resolved. #4&5 although I am not to enthrall with would help to tract these people down.

Point well taken.
The provisions in question were added by Congressmen to keep out low income laborers, not terrorists.
And why is this bad?.
These laborers are a drain on government services in the southwest and in California ERs are closing down due to the financial load. Not to mention the increase of crime (other than the original sin of braking immigration laws). This is hyperbole, however, the economic drain is also an consideration of the Homeland.
BTW By creating low income laborers we are creating a subculture of people not too far removed from slavery.
Well, it's no surprise that you showed up on this thread with your Race Card in hand, spewing your baseless racist accusations toward others and making yourself look like a complete fool. So, how was your La Raza meeting last night, bayourod?
