We have Bush to thank for this one. He could have finished Kerry the other night.
Instead we now have giddy Eleanor Clift, Terry McAuliffe and the hordes of democrats on the attack.
Bush left us with this mess. We now have to do whatever we can for what will probably be only a close win instead of a complete rout of the entire democrat establishment.
Another fine mess Bush has gotten us into.
Anyone know off the top of your head what Bush's lead was prior to the debate according to Newsweek?
"Another fine mess Bush has gotten us into."
Tne infamous Dick Morris blames Bush's handlers...saying they convinced GWB not to be too harsh on Kerry so he wouldn't alienate voters (especially women voters).
Here's today's ray of hope!
As in President of the United States of America.

Isn't intresting how supposed Republicans come onto a "Conservative" news form and spend all their time spewing anti-Bush propaganda?
So which Moveon.org seminar did you attend Putup? The one by Rapper Mobey or the one by Jame Carvell. Wishful thinking on your part Put. Seen these poll numbers?
If this is victory, it sure is going to be ugly when Kerry loses a debate.

Kerry Wins? Maybe Not.
The conventional wisdom is that John Kerry "won" the debate. We certainly agree that he performed well. In contrast with his hapless recent efforts at the convention and on the stump, he came across as poised, confident and even reasonably disciplined verbally. And he toned down the defeatism on Iraq.
But in a postdebate Gallup poll, although a majority (53%) thought Kerry "did a better job in the debate" than Bush (37%), the results of more specific questions look better for the president:
Kerry Bush
Expressed himself more clearly 60% 32%
Had a good understanding of the issues 41% 41%
Agreed with you more on the issues you care about 46% 49%
Was more believable 45% 50%
Was more likable 41% 48%
Demonstrated he is tough enough for the job 37% 54%
It may turn out that Kerry impressed voters with his skills as a debater--looking "almost senatorial," as ScrappleFace.com puts it-- but fell short of persuading them that he'd be a better president than the incumbent.
Gees, get a grip. Elections are not for the weak-kneed.......Bush will win. This is a newsweek poll for heaven's sake.
Oh, get a grip.
LOL!
Yeah........messes like defeating terrorism, freeing entire nations, restoring our military to strength and respect, helping our economy recover through robust economic policies and tax cuts, working to return our country to a culture of life and personal responsibility.
Yeah......another mess, alright........ LOL!
Another fine mess Bush has gotten us into."
Oh ye of little faith! ;-)
I have to agree with you. He didn't seem quite as prepared as he should've and when asked if Kerry had the moral attributes to be President, all he said that it was a "loaded question" and never mentioned Kerry's anti-war antics - including belonging to an organization that advocated assassination of Senators.
"Like father, like son", at least his father looked and sounded presidential.
As they say, either putup or shutup. You've had plenty of replies...and nary a peep out of ya...!!
FWIW-
Why don't you go and try performing some anatomically impossible sexual act upon yourself?
Bump
O.K. Let's go jump off a cliff. You go first and I'll hold your coat.
1- Did you really expect that Bush's well known "Eloquence" was going to outdo Kerry's fluency in nuanced double speak?
2- Did you expect that the media would report "anything but" a glorious victory for Kerry as a debater?
3- Do you think there is a difference between a beauty/style/poise/swimsuit competition and judging the character of the future President of the US?
Now let's look at the facts:
Bush gave Kerry nothing to talk about but the same old stuff.
HOWEVER KERRY POOPED IN HIS OWN NEST WITH:
1- The "Global test" bit...and 15 variations of "with a little help from my friends".
2- The "No bunker buster bombs for me" fiasco.
3- Give the Mullahs nuclear materials. Hoping that they won't pull a North Korea on us...and we don't need no stinking missile defense.
4- Repeat Clinton's unilateral talks with North Korea that failed so miserably that Kim "the weird" now has half a dozen nukes.
Now I'll grant you Bush should have Bitch-slapped this loser over every point. Bush should have nailed him with Kerry's 20 year record of weakening our defenses and weapons systems, but he didn't.I too, feel frustrated that he didn't do that. But let's keep things in perspective. I don't believe that the dynamics of this race have changed. Bush is still ahead 8-10 points.
Trust me, don't jump Friend.
Geze, have you no faith?
oh stop!!!!
You got it right! We can just kiss this country goodbye if socialist one-worlder kerrywonks win this election because Bush didn't take this first debate seriously! Remember only about 10 percent of Americans think! (most of them are here on FreeRepublic). We voted Clinton in for 8 yeas because he made us feel good. All we need is a Carole Simpson asking smarmy questions and the soccer moms are back on the Kerry wagon! We had momentum and energy and Bush's sorry performance is going to make us fight for every vote. People in Ohio, Florida, West Virginia, Pa., Wisc., Listen up and vote conservative! Your votes will count 100 times more than my Georgia vote which Bush will win by 15 percent!
It may sound strange, but since 1 Thes. 5:18 says "Give thanks in ALL circumstances," I am thankful for what happened in the debate.
I am thankful that the "wake up call" happened with several weeks before the election, so we don't get complacent!!!
We must work like we are at least 5 - 10 points behind to make up for the RATs' voter fraud!!!
