"Bush contained and framed these key "currents" of this liquid chameleon Kerry. Bush can now beat the hell out of Kerry within the house in which Bush framed. Kerry can't move. The only way for Kerry to escape is by exploding the frame, which will destroy his campaign... he'll have to embrace these "currents".... Bush has won, he was winning the debates... not the debate."
Good analysis. I have heard a few other comments tonight along those lines. Bush was a great poker player at Harvard business school. He knows how to play a hand and draw out an opponent. It is in Bush's blood. He doesn't have to fake it like Kerry does.

Pray tell, giving Candidate Kerry the broad benefit of the doubt here, what incentive exists for some other country to expose themselves to expense in terms of money and its citizens' lives as well as potentially becoming a terrorist target?
Take France for instance. Their desire is to knock the US down a few pegs and force it into the globalist box where France can then have more freedom to advance as a great power. They wish to eliminate us as the lone superpower.
The best way to accomplish this is to elect Demcrats. If Kerry is elected, France will come over almost immediately. There will be an immediate gushing of love for Kerry and a quick agreement on supporting Iraq. There best bet is to support Kerry and back him up but still make sure the US loses in the end and is embarassed.
When the EU wins a trade fight they always place their economic sanctions on businesses in Republican constituency areas.
They will all rush to make Kerry look good while still sabotoging any US efforts

I expect Rush will rip Kerry apart tomorrow .. that should start the ball rolling.

I also recall Kerry saying that the 911 commission did not find a link between Saddam and Osama. YES THEY DID!!
I know that for sure because Rush got the items from the 911 commission book and printed them in his latest Limbaugh Letter.
THIS IS A VERY BIG LIE!!

When I watched the debate the first time, I was a little disappointed in the reactions of the President and his failure to hit harder on some of the issues. My impression was that it was probably a draw. I heard Kerry make several statements that I dropped my jaw on because he was either flipping again or misstating the facts.
I listened to the debates a second time and came away feeling that President Bush won the debate because of content. While I still wish he had hit some of Kerry's statements harder, he did respond quickly to straighten out many of Kerry's statements. REassessing the debate, I now believe that the President carried it.

Plus, Kerry also said that we turned over the fight in Afghanistan to local tribal leaders (but he didn't call them that - it was something sort of derrogatory), and then he claimed these same people had been fighting the USA .. that's not true!

Kerry could even say a WH Secret Service SOB lied about Iraq.
Not that Kerry would call a Secret Service agent and SOB...

Chummy...
What are you thinking, for goodness sake?
Kerry doesn't part his own hair in the morning or late at noon, or any other time.
Get a grip, man. :^}

I know I will feel better after listening to Rush today.
You know, when it comes right down to it, President Bush is just not a vicious guy. Kerry can look you straight in the eye and lie (who does THAT remind us of?). He would say anything and everything he thought he needed to say. He got in all the classic talking points, class envy, tax cuts for the rich (yawn), Haliburton, mess in Iraq, blah, blah, blah....
Bush is not an attacker. Kerry is truly a mean-spirited, vicious, nasty, intimidating, bully. President Bush is not a match for such a despicable creature. Bush is a leader, an honest, steadfast, leader. God bless him.

Rove, Kerry analysts and GW's team told GW to just hang back in the first 2/3's of the debate and let Kerry say anything that he wanted to say. They probably knew that Kerry had gotten a preview of the questions before hand. So Kerry was loaded for bear and spewed and spewed. This was why GW look so poed while he listened to Kerry spew lies and other mantras. Now those lies and mantras will hammer Skerry until the next debate. If he does the same tactic in the second and third debate, his mouth in the debates will have destroyed him. Excellent insight. The fact-gatherers will be busy today!
